00:00 Where did you get them from?
00:01 Oh, I actually picked them up in a charity shop in Culreen about five years ago.
00:05 They were just on a shelf and I noticed they were damaged and I wasn't going to take them.
00:09 Well, that normally means they don't cost very much in a charity shop, is that right?
00:12 No, they were looking for a pound for them but I walked past and I said no, I don't like them.
00:18 And my husband says, "Oh, there's something about them, they're nice.
00:20 Nice is but they're damaged." And the gentleman said, "Well, if you want them, two pound,
00:25 and you can take them with you." So I sat down for two pound.
00:29 Two pounds? Well, you've got not only two pieces of early belique, I mean they're rare models too.
00:35 The tulip vases, they didn't make very many of them and they certainly didn't make so many with the added colours.
00:43 And a gold trim, that always makes it a little bit more special.
00:47 Indeed. I think for that reason we can forgive it a bit of damage.
00:51 I mean that one actually looks rather a mess, doesn't it?
00:54 It does, it really does.
00:55 So let's forget that one and concentrate on this. It's the early period, we're looking at probably about 1870.
01:03 Oh, okay.
01:04 So they've been around a long time getting their damage.
01:07 Yes.
01:08 But this one, luckily, has only got the tip of a leaf off there.
01:11 Yes.
01:12 And otherwise, it's good.
01:14 Good.
