00:00 00;01;10;12 00;01;14;22 COMM: The Nocturnal Car Club is one of the
00:14 biggest customised vehicle clubs in the world, with chapters across America, Europe and Asia.
00:20 00;01;17;22 00;01;21;22 COMM: The members spend
00:29 hundreds of thousands of pounds and countless hours turning their regular cars into moving,
00:35 roaring works of art.
00:36 00;01;29;02 00;01;35;02 COMM; Here you have a 1998 Chevy two-door
00:40 Tahoe.
00:41 00;01;37;03 00;01;40;03 COMM; We converted the whole front end as you see, fenders, we
00:45 added oversized wheels, 28 inch, fully engraved and painted.
00:49 00;01;42;03 00;01;46;03 COMM; We added a nice mural on top of the hood, our caddy paint
00:54 job, pearl paint job and then some pin striping.
00:58 00;01;50;03 00;01;54;03 COMM; Money wise, it's very hard to pinpoint it but a rough estimate
01:05 would probably be 90,000 to 100, I know it sounds like a lot to a lot of people but also
01:12 it's a build that has taken maybe four to four plus years.
01:16 00;02;00;00 00;02;05;00 COMM; First start doing it for you know, the girls, white light but
01:22 eventually you do it so long, you overlook that, that's not what you're building and
01:26 you fall in love with the builds and you know the attention the builds get and everybody's
01:30 reaction is something different.
01:31 00;02;05;00 COMM; When they first see our rides on the street or anywhere we're setting them
01:35 up, first thing that comes out of people's mouth is you know, wow.
01:39 Second thing is why would you do that to a new car?
01:41 Our car club is we try to go after the newest stuff and pretty much mess it up.
01:46 00;02;15;00 00;02;21;00 COMM; The car is great, it's fantastic, it seems there's no part of
01:51 this car that's not customized.
01:54 00;02;21;00 COMM; The paint is extraordinary, definitely has show quality, this vehicle
02:01 is definitely above the top, unique.
02:05 00;02;29;00 COMM; We ran out of ideas on cars so why not build a golf cart right?
02:11 We put some 14 inch rims on the golf cart, LEDs all the way on the bottom, halo lights,
02:15 it's got TVs everywhere, we have an iPad that goes on the dash, Xbox 360 in the back and
02:21 actually this damn golf cart weighs probably as much as a car.
02:24 I'm sitting on a good 12 batteries right now, you spend at least $5000 just on these batteries.
02:30 00;02;43;00 COMM; Despite the incredible amount of time and money involved in being a member
02:34 of the club, it's grown exponentially since its inception in 2001.
02:38 00;02;50;00 COMM; We started in Montebello, California, we've expanded to 28 chapters
02:44 including Texas, Florida, St. Louis, Chicago, New York, Arizona, Nevada, Utah and now presently
02:53 in Japan as well.
02:54 00;02;59;00 COMM; Nocturnal as a club, I mean now it's more like family.
02:59 I've missed so many birthday parties, parties and we've gone everywhere with these guys
03:04 with our members you know and sometimes they do more for you than your own family does.
03:08 00;03;05;00 COMM; Everybody thinks I'm crazy and my family, they say I waste too much money
03:13 on it but my perks are different, my rewards are different.
03:17 I grew up reading the Lowrider magazine here, always aspired to maybe one day come out in
03:22 the magazine but successfully we've won and I'm a three time champ when it comes to Lowrider.
03:29 00;03;22;00 COMM; Say I'm obsessed with all these vehicles but I don't call it obsessed,
03:33 it's just you know, you love doing.
03:35 (helicopter blades whirring)
