Shannon Stillwell’s wife revealed she had just spoken to him moments before she was alerted he had been stabbed. Stillwell, a co-defendent in the YSL RICO trial in Fulton County, GA was supposed to be in protective custody when the stabbing occurred.

00:00 you had a chance to speak to his wife.
00:04 So what was that?
00:06 - Well, she said she was on the phone with him
00:09 like late last night and they had gotten off the phone.
00:13 And then the next minute she started getting all these calls
00:15 and that he had just been stabbed.
00:17 And she rushed over to Wright Street jail.
00:22 And by the time he got there,
00:25 it was like, they knew that, okay,
00:26 they said, "Are you his wife?"
00:28 And she said, "Yeah."
00:29 And they pull her to the side
00:30 and that's when they explained to her,
00:32 the lieutenant came out and explained to her
00:34 what was happening and while she was standing there talking,
00:37 he was going into the ambulance to go to Grady.
00:42 And he has had surgery and he was stabbed in the abdomen.
00:47 And so here's the thing that's the problem.
00:52 He's supposed to be in protective-
00:54 - Custody.
00:57 - Custody, yeah, thank you.
00:59 - Protective custody and he was not.
01:01 One of the officers moved him
01:04 and lieutenant is trying to find out who moved him
01:07 and there is gonna be an investigation done.
