00:29 We have had the threats that there might be a change in the agreement, that we might have a

00:38 direct rule that involves the Irish Republic, even though there is no provision for that

00:42 in the Good Friday agreement. The Secretary of State has sought, in times or through surrogates—I

00:51 know he sought the German—the hon. Member for North Down echoes the words of the chairman of

00:56 the Northern Ireland Affairs Committee in threatening that there could be big change

01:01 that is detrimental to the union if we do not come to an agreement quickly. We have had the bribes

01:06 and, of course, we have also had the bullying. If we do not go back into the Assembly,

01:16 then people will not get their pay rise and everything else. I have to say, Secretary of

01:19 State, that it does not become the current Government to use the workers in Northern Ireland

01:26 as pawns in trying to push us into a situation that the Secretary of State has not yet seen.
