00:00 of the Petit Bec. There we see Nuria in the start gate. She's been doing a lot of mental
00:05 preparation for this season after having a really unfortunate avalanche accident last season. She was
00:11 uninjured but it was a huge mental barrier in the similar zone to here so she's been working on it
00:18 with the sports therapist and been very open about that kind of mental journey to get back in the
00:24 zone so congrats to her. Yeah Nuria Castomberon been through the journey. Physically she said
00:30 she's stronger than ever. She's riding well. She's been living in Innsbruck so definitely
00:35 taking advantage of the powder in the Alps and dropping in behind that big alpine wall and Nuria
00:40 coming out of the gate with charge always a sender. This young Spanish rider getting her way over that
00:46 notch. A tricky little section there for the riders to navigate before they're into the heart of it.
00:51 She is checking out her first feature there. So riding goofy tricky to start on the heel side edge
00:59 and catching this one. You see now the tracks from the snowboard men are going to start to come into
01:05 play as what was powder earlier on is now starting to be a little bit more ridden a little bit more
01:10 kind of bedded in so it'll be a little bit firmer and definitely running faster. She's lining up
01:17 the Faschner close out here finding her takeoff landing solid onto the heel side oh but coming
01:25 unstuck on the toe side. Yeah looks like as she was laying into that toe side edge her board just
01:30 dropped about a half a meter and it may be into somebody else's track or a bomb hole from a higher
01:37 feature that was taken by an earlier rider but Nuria still moving fluidly down the face here
01:45 as she gets herself lined up above the tester's nose through this section still over exposure
01:52 and take some air time there riding out with some pace. You can almost sense a visible sense of
02:02 release when the riders get out from the exposure and onto the powder apron. You can see the shoulders
02:08 come down a little bit of like you can release some of the tension because there's no more rocks
02:13 underneath you and you could you could really almost see the body language of Nuria there
02:17 so just motoring her way down the shifty at the bottom as she drops below the ridge and she's
02:23 going to carve through the finish gate. You can see that's been kind of rippled from some of
02:30 the other riders throwing the board sideways in the finish. Scream of relief from Nuria. Yeah she's
02:37 done amazing to get get herself into the start gate and put down a run. I'm in a big smile
02:46 trying to catch your breath it's so physical riding down this huge mountain as we take a
02:54 look back here at Nuria's run. So really speed checking at the top here catching a little air
03:01 looks solid here and then this one lands well but this toe side turn just gets hooked up. I think
03:10 you're right I think she caught someone else's tracks there. Yeah and it was just an unexpected
03:14 step down and then once you step down into that track the the edge grabs and your face is on the
03:19 snow. Yeah and holding on I got to give her credit I think that's um that's probably due to a massive
03:25 amount of sit-ups and squats that she was able to hold on to that by just being physically strong.
03:31 You can see the line tracker there Nuria just catching her breath physical work walking all
03:38 the way up and then shredding all the way back down now waiting for the scores. This is going
03:43 to set the bar for the snowboard women's field this first score so it'll be a bit of a baseline
03:48 score and we know there was an issue in Nuria's run so a 68 you can see oh let's come see come
03:53 saw on that one but that's going to be the bar now that the other riders are aiming for
03:58 and perfection is going to be the game today for the snowboard women as for all the categories
04:04 if you can lace a perfect run.
