00:04 The first year of the Philippine Development Plan 2023-2028 was a success.

00:10 That's what the National Economic and Development Authority, or NEDA, said

00:15 despite the various challenges in the Philippine Development Report

00:19 that is expected to be released to the public in the last part of this month.

00:23 According to the Social Economic Planning Secretary, Arsenio Balisacan,

00:27 the Philippine economy has improved compared to other Asian countries due to the PDR 2023.

00:34 The Secretariat of the Philippine Government also believes that this will continue

00:38 to reduce poverty and to implement the idea of the new Philippines

00:42 that President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. is pushing.

00:46 Three thousand farmers in Zambales were able to benefit from the Farmers Assistance

00:53 for Recovery and Modernization of Farm Program of the Administration.

00:57 The farmers received P2,000 financial assistance under the

01:02 Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situations, or ICCS, program of the DSWD.

01:08 Aside from the new farm program that helps farmers to multiply their crops

01:14 and increase the buffer stock of rice in the country,

01:17 the beneficiaries are also encouraged to sell their crops

01:22 at a price that does not fall below P100 per kilo in the NFA.
