00:09 Edinburgh is set to be battered by high winds tomorrow with the Met Office having issued a yellow weather warning.
00:16 The warning is in place from 9am until 5pm as the capital prepares for winds of up to 21mph.
00:24 Police descended on a homeless hostel in Edinburgh yesterday afternoon after a 35-year-old woman was found dead.
00:31 A witness saw police and forensics at the hostel which is located in Leith's Parliament Street and police later said enquiries were ongoing to establish the circumstances surrounding the death.
00:44 And finally, a 35-year-old man has been taken to hospital following a serious assault in Dalkeith Town Centre.
00:51 Police investigating the incident have now charged a 29-year-old man in connection with the assault.
