LED Chevy Is Light Show On Wheels
Thousands of specialised LED lights have been used to transform a 2007 Chevrolet Suburban into a light show on wheels. TJ Dickenson, of Titusville, Florida, is behind the pimped-out truck, which he refers to as the ‘Boom X’. It features custom LED lights that respond differently to bass, mids, and treble – creating a fully unique light show. 00:37 I'm the owner of BoomX. It's a '07 Chevy Suburban. The sides of the rims are
00:46 32-inch three-piece Forgiatos. I have six Ground Zero 15 subwoofers and
00:52 there's 24 10s in there right now. Well my main passion is go out and do car
01:00 shows.
01:02 There's a couple of thousand LEDs in this truck. All right what we got going
01:15 on here is we have the LEDs and the steering wheel all built in, custom-made
01:20 steering wheel. We also have the LEDs on the seats, chased all through the whole
01:25 thing. We also have a custom-made headliner that also has LEDs chasing
01:30 through simultaneously. And then we have the custom the iPad here that does all
01:37 my music. I have a processor, I don't even have a radio, I have a processor that
01:42 does high-resolution Bluetoothing. One of my main features to where I haven't
01:48 seen done to this magnitude is where we cut the fenders completely off, we
01:53 stretched them, we raised them, and we welded them back on there. When I first
01:58 bought it, it was stock, I probably took it to 100, but now I don't take it over 75
02:04 on the highway just because of the tires. These speakers are actually so big and
02:12 heavy this door probably weighs about at least 300 pounds. Basically this whole
02:17 entire setup is set for a super clean look and a great sound obviously. There's
02:26 actually tweeters behind each one of these tins that protrude through these
02:31 speakers. It's extremely loud but more importantly as being loud it's crystal
02:39 clear like a symphony.
02:43 I've had the truck almost two years now. Mainly took the longest was the
02:58 customization of the fenders and the paint because it took six months to do
03:03 that and then everything else came in stages of course. Somebody offered me 65
03:11 for it, or no, he said 70 and I was like I'll think about it and I'll call you back.
03:18 You know and I just I just couldn't do it. If somebody seriously said here
03:21 there's $100,000 for your truck, I would have to think about it. I go to shows, we
03:27 want to go cruising on the weekend, or I just need some bass in my life, I'll just
03:33 go for a drive whenever and just turn the stereo up as loud as I can and just
03:38 enjoy the music.
