00:07 The legal saga between Cher and her son started in late December, when news broke that the

00:12 pop star was seeking a conservatorship over her son.

00:15 The legal document seeking the conservatorship claims it was necessary, quote, "to protect

00:20 Elijah's property from loss or injury" and because he is, quote, "currently unable

00:25 to manage his assets due to severe mental health and substance abuse issues."

00:30 However, Almond fought against the conservatorship, and in his court filing stated, "Under no

00:35 circumstances am I comfortable having my mom as my conservator.

00:38 While I understand that my mother, the proposed conservator, believes she is looking out for

00:42 my best interests and I appreciate her love and support, I do not need her unsolicited

00:47 help or support at this time."

00:49 This past Monday, LA courts denied the conservatorship for a second time, with the judge stating,

00:55 quote, "I have not seen the evidence to grant a temporary emergency conservatorship

01:00 as of today."

01:01 While Almond's legal team is taking this as a victory, the battle is not over yet.
