00:03 NBC has ordered a pilot for a Suits companion series from the original show's creator Aaron
00:08 Korsh called Suits LA. The series will be set in the same world as the former USA Network series,
00:14 but will follow a new group of characters. This news comes after the runaway success of the
00:19 original legal drama on streaming platforms this year. "I'm inclined to give you a shot,
00:23 but what if I decide to go another way? I'd say that's fair. And sometimes I like to hang out
00:28 with people who aren't that bright, you know, just to see how the other half lives." According
00:32 to Nielsen, U.S. TV viewers watched 57.7 billion minutes of Suits in 2023, the highest yearly total
00:40 in the four years the ratings service has publicly shared streaming data. Following Suits' massive
00:44 summertime run at the top of the streaming charts, Korsh started developing Suits LA with Universal
00:49 Studio Group's UCP in October. Korsh's Suits LA will center on Ted Black, a formal federal
00:55 prosecutor in New York who has reinvented himself while representing powerful clients in Los
00:59 Angeles. For more on this story and all the latest TV news, head to THR.com.
