Farmers' protests have sprung up across Europe, even as some cease

Debts, cheap imports, price pressures... these are just some of the grievances on the lists of European farmers.

00:00 The Romanian government says it's reached an agreement with the farmers and truckers
00:04 who've been protesting about high agricultural costs and low prices for their produce.
00:10 Convoys of hundreds of tractors and trucks have slowed or blocked the traffic on major
00:14 roads leading to major cities in the last three weeks.
00:17 And many of the protesting farmers in France have also stopped after the government there
00:21 offered a series of financial concessions.
00:24 Some however are continuing, including small-scale livestock farmers and other sectors such as
00:29 beekeeping.
00:30 In Belgium, farmers are also staying on the roads and they've also blocked numerous border
00:35 crossings with the Netherlands.
00:37 Some of the motorways are the busiest in Europe as they lead to Antwerp, Europe's second biggest

00:43 In Portugal, farmers have partly blocked a key bridge on a main road into Lisbon.
00:48 Since Thursday, some major roads have been blocked across the country, but some have
00:52 since been lifted after the government offered financial support.
