Thieves are targeting a new building being constructed, causing thousands of pounds worth of damage and delaying the project, for the on site therapy centre at Expanse Learning, a special educational needs and disabilities school in Worsley Mesnes, Wigan.
Transcript
00:00 I'm Ed Hanley, I'm the head teacher of the Expanse School in Westleigh, Maidsey and Wigan.
00:04 We're an independent special school for children with additional needs.
00:07 Behind me is our new therapy centre which we are building to improve the educational
00:15 experience for all our students. It's been targeted every night last week.
00:20 People have been in and done over £10,000 worth of damage, stealing things, so it's just putting
00:26 it behind and it's robbing all our children of a much needed resource.
00:30 I'm the director of Eco Home Space, Chris Parr. We're doing obviously a much needed therapy centre
00:51 for a special needs school that keeps getting targeted every single night. It's putting the
00:56 job back and it's a much needed service for the children. All we want to do is get it finished
01:01 as soon as we can and obviously see if we can catch these criminals and stop them from doing it.
