00:00 The Prime Ministers of the UK and Ireland are in Belfast today to meet the Northern Ireland's newly
00:06 revived government. The Northern Irish Assembly appointed a power-sharing government on Saturday
00:12 after a two-year hiatus. Michelle O'Neill of Sinn Féin made history then, becoming the province's
00:18 first Irish nationalist leader. Now when he arrived today, Rishi Sunak promised that that
00:24 power-sharing deal would mean more money for Northern Ireland. Well the deal that we negotiated
00:32 last year, £3.3 billion, represents a generous and fair settlement for Northern Ireland and
00:39 crucially it is sustainable and it's about ensuring that public finances in Northern Ireland are
00:44 sustainable for the long term. That's the approach that we've taken that I think will really benefit
00:49 everyone here and now that we've got the executive back up and running it's right that people have
00:53 their local politicians focusing on their priorities starting with public services. There hasn't been
00:58 devolved government up and running here for far too long but now we do have it and they can start
01:02 focusing on delivering for everyone.
