Michael Gill, a former Trump administration official, died on Saturday after being shot during a string of carjackings in Washington, D.C., last week. Gill, 56, was inside his parked vehicle on Monday when the suspect, 28-year-old Artell Cunningham, got in and shot him before fleeing on foot. Cunningham then carjacked and shot dead another victim before committing two more carjackings in Maryland. Cunningham was later fatally shot by police in Maryland after being stopped on Tuesday. Gill previously worked at the US Commodity Futures Trading Commission and Housing Policy Council.
