00:47 Hi, good morning.
00:48 Thanks so much for joining in.
00:49 This is Ask Profit on NETB Profit.
00:51 My name is Alex Mathieu, and with me is Smriti Chaudhary.
00:54 We'll take you through the next half an hour of trade.
00:56 Let's very quickly take you through how the markets
00:59 are faring right now.
00:59 And I'm looking at my screen, and it's
01:02 been a little bit of chop and churn.
01:04 So let's pull up the intraday chart.
01:05 We're trading with gains of about 4/10 of a percent
01:08 for the Nifty 50.
01:09 And it has managed to stay in the green for most
01:12 of the session today.
01:14 But there's been quite a bit of selling midway through so far,
01:18 of course.
01:19 The broader markets as well.
01:20 Let's take a look at that.
01:21 The mid-cap 150 index trading with gains
01:24 of about 8/10 of a percent.
01:25 The small-cap index up a little over that mark, 0.8%.
01:30 Now, obviously, the breadth is favoring the advances
01:33 at this junction.
01:34 A few names, a few stocks stand out.
01:37 In fact, let's look at the key contributors on the Nifty 50.
01:41 We'll probably talk about one of the stocks
01:43 that we're going to focus on at the start today,
01:46 and that is Bharti Airtel.
01:47 It is gaining about 2.8% and contributing quite a bit
01:51 to the gains.
01:52 Of course, the top gainers are TCS in terms of contribution,
01:57 as well as Infosys from the tech pack, IT pack.
01:59 And the IT pack is gaining ground.
02:01 But let's focus in on Bharti Airtel.
02:03 Before I hand it over to Smriti, let me introduce the guests
02:06 today.
02:06 We've got Saurabh Jain of SMC Global,
02:09 as well as Amit Bhuptani of Nirmal Bang Security.
02:12 Thank you to the both of you for taking the time.
02:15 Smriti, we're talking about Bharti Airtel.
02:17 I think the big surprise came on the ARPU number.
02:19 Right, yes.
02:20 Good morning, Alex.
02:21 And good morning to the guests and viewers as well.
02:23 You're right.
02:24 The stock is up in trade today.
02:27 And that's on the back of the results.
02:30 On most parameters, it met the streets estimate.
02:34 But ARPU, as you rightly mentioned,
02:35 was the one that was a positive surprise for the stock.
02:39 It came out at 208 rupees.
02:42 And it was expected to be around 205.
02:44 Last quarter, it was 203.
02:46 So that was a bit of a positive impact there.
02:49 But if you look at the CAPEX, CAPEX
02:52 was also flattish this quarter, which is also a positive.
02:54 It's supposed to moderate next year.
02:58 That's the management's commentary,
02:59 which is going to have a positive impact on the margins
03:02 as well as profit as well.
03:03 So that is why probably we're seeing brokerages also
03:08 that are continuing to remain bullish on the stock as well.
03:11 If you look at the numbers, revenue was up 2.3% to 37,899.
03:17 EBITDA up 1.5%, 19,815 crore.
03:21 Margin flat, as I mentioned, capped by 5G CAPEX
03:25 spends this quarter as well.
03:27 And net profit up 37%, about 2,876 crore or thereabouts.
03:32 So that's pretty much Bharti Airtel's earning
03:35 in a nutshell.
03:36 But let's go across to our guests.
03:39 And Saurabh, welcome to the show.
03:43 And you've seen the earnings.
03:45 There's a positive-- brokerages continue
03:47 to remain positive on the stock.
03:49 What is your sense for Bharti Airtel for the longer term?
03:53 I think longer term, for the long rise,
03:55 I think the stock looks good.
03:57 I mean, the price correction is still
04:01 market is looking forward to.
04:03 And if that happens, then I think
04:05 we'll be able to see higher margins and higher
04:07 profitability.
04:08 On the number side, they have added significant numbers
04:10 of 4G and 5G customers.
04:12 The premiumization have worked well.
04:14 They have been able to add more postpaid subscribers.
04:17 The bundled services also gained traction.
04:19 The India business continues to witness strong momentum growth.
04:23 So in that sense, I think if tariff increases
04:26 does happen going forward, I think
04:28 that will give a good boost to the profitability
04:32 margins and the profitability.
04:34 OK, fair point.
04:35 Quick view, Amit, on the technicals as well.
04:38 What levels to watch out for Bharti Airtel?
04:41 If you look at Bharti Airtel, the chart overall
04:45 looks on the range bond session.
04:46 The resistance zone for the company is 1160,
04:49 and the support is at 1110.
04:51 So once it gets a breakout of resistance or support level,
04:55 then again, buying can be confirmed.
04:57 Overall setup looks positive.
04:58 Once counter goes again above 1160,
05:00 new long position can be created.
05:02 OK, fair point.
05:03 Let's start with the queries.
05:04 And a quick reminder to everybody tuning in,
05:07 if you are joining in on any one of our social media platforms,
05:11 you can, in fact, send us a message on those platforms.
05:13 Alternatively, you can send us a message
05:15 on the number that's on your screen,
05:17 that's on WhatsApp as well.
05:19 The first question I will take is from Deepa,
05:21 and she's asking about a stock that
05:22 was listed not too long back.
05:24 This is Flair Writing, but it's not
05:26 had a very good run so far.
05:28 In fact, she's bought at levels of 482.
05:31 She's got 116 shares.
05:33 And she's losing ground.
05:34 She says she's losing about 33-odd percent.
05:37 The question is to you, Saurabh, on the fundamentals.
05:40 I guess we know that Q2 and Q3 for companies like Flair
05:45 are not very strong.
05:46 Q4 and Q1 are the stronger periods.
05:49 But what does one have to bear in mind
05:51 if you are holding a substantial portion
05:53 and you're losing about 30%?
05:56 See, these IPOs have come at a time
05:58 when the small cap and mid caps have been strong traction,
06:01 have seen strong momentum in the secondary markets.
06:06 And the valuations were not that comfortable.
06:08 But it is an IPO frenzy, a lot of money
06:10 are chasing the new issues.
06:12 And that is what we have seen in the case of this company.
06:15 So the stock has prices connected
06:17 because of the higher valuation.
06:19 Now, seasonality factor does work in this industry.
06:22 I think you have to wait for Q4 and first quarter earnings.
06:25 I think it is better to wait for two-quarter earnings
06:27 because still the brand has a--
06:29 it is a very good brand image.
06:31 And a lot of market share also--
06:35 company enjoys good market share too.
06:37 So in that sense, I think don't average your purchase.
06:41 But stay put for the next sections.
06:44 All right.
06:45 Next up, we have a question from Manjunath.
06:47 And they're talking about Coal India.
06:49 Now, we'll take a long and a short-term view on this
06:52 because they haven't mentioned.
06:54 So for Coal India, we've seen almost 100% gains in the share
06:59 in the last one year, Saurabh.
07:00 And the thermal power, or rather the coal sector,
07:04 continues to remain positive in the sense
07:08 there's more demand that's going to come,
07:10 or the projections continue to remain that the demand--
07:12 continue to kind of say that the demand will grow
07:17 in the coming years as well.
07:19 So on that front, Coal India, is there more upside to the stock?
07:23 And what is your sense of the sector as well?
07:27 See, on the operational front, it
07:28 is expected that the numbers will continue
07:30 to be good with the volume growth, in terms of volume
07:34 growth, and the price-wise also.
07:37 And moreover, one thing also that what
07:39 is happening in the market, a lot of re-rating
07:41 is happening for the PSU stocks.
07:43 And the valuations were clearly low for Coal India.
07:46 We are seeing that.
07:48 We can say that the stock has jumped about 100%.
07:51 But still, if you look at the valuations,
07:53 they are still, in comparison to many international companies
07:57 also, they are on the lower side.
07:58 So in that sense, I think it is better to hold the stock.
08:03 OK.
08:03 The next one that we'll take is--
08:06 OK, we're going to take a short-term question.
08:08 Go ahead.
08:08 --as well for Coal India.
08:09 Amit, how does it look on the charts, Coal India,
08:12 and what are the key levels to watch out for in the stock?
08:15 Well, the setup looks positive.
08:17 Continuously, we are witnessing that the volumes
08:19 are getting added on on a monthly and weekly basis.
08:21 So if you look at the structure-wise,
08:23 the uptrend will be continuing in the market.
08:26 Buy and dip strategy need to be recreated in this counter.
08:29 The downside level for this counter, which is the support,
08:31 is at 420.
08:33 Once the counter comes near 425 to 430 levels,
08:35 then again, new buying position can be recreated.
08:38 And fresh buying will be witnessed only above 450
08:41 levels.
08:41 Once the stock manages to get stable above 450 levels,
08:44 then again, we might witness aggressive buying
08:46 towards the 475, 480 levels.
08:49 Amit, on this next one, Himadri Specialty Chemical
08:52 is the name of the counter.
08:53 And it is gaining about 12% in the year to date so far.
08:56 I'm talking about 2024.
08:58 Sankara from Chennai is asking about whether or not
09:01 it can be bought at the current levels.
09:03 And if so, what is the target that you would keep?
09:06 And he's not mentioned a time frame.
09:08 So I'm guessing you can give him a short to medium term time
09:10 frame.
09:12 Definitely, if you look at the medium term perspective,
09:14 all of this counter is a specialty chemical.
09:16 And then we have witnessed that in this counter,
09:19 almost strong buyers have been ready.
09:22 And we can see, again, another round of buying.
09:25 Because from last four weeks, we are
09:27 seeing the consolidation is taking place
09:29 from the range of 360 to 390 levels.
09:32 The support for this counter is 345 level
09:34 for the mid-term perspective.
09:35 Place the stock at 345.
09:37 At this rate, you can recreate the new long position.
09:40 Once the stock goes above 395 level,
09:42 we might see as per the chart structure,
09:44 counter can go upside towards the 450 to 480 levels.
09:48 All right, fair point.
09:49 Next up, we have a question from Shiv Kumar from Dubai.
09:52 They're talking about Praja Industries.
09:54 They've already bought in 500 shares at 536 levels.
09:59 Should they continue holding the stock?
10:01 They say that the stock has already dropped to 473 levels.
10:04 And it's currently trading around 505 levels.
10:08 Amit, tell us what should Shiv Kumar do in this case?
10:12 Should they hold on to the stock?
10:14 Is there more upside left in this one?
10:17 Whatever negative need to come has come out.
10:20 Now, the stock is completely trading
10:22 near the weekly support of 470 level.
10:24 And we are seeing that in today's trading session,
10:26 the stock is also trading about 200 TMA levels.
10:29 So once we find that we are in today's session,
10:31 stock gives a closing above 515 level in today or next one
10:35 to two days of trading session.
10:36 Once it gives closing above 515 level,
10:38 then again we might witness some positive outcome in the stock
10:41 towards the 550 level.
10:42 So hold the long position with the support of 470.
10:45 Once the stock goes below 470, then we need to be exited.
10:49 On the fundamentals though, Saurabh,
10:51 what are you seeing with regard to Praj?
10:54 Of course, the story was about the ethanol blending
10:58 or the facilitation of ethanol blending.
11:00 Now there's a conversation about biogas blending with CNG
11:05 as well.
11:06 What's your outlook or what's your expectation
11:08 of the outlook on this particular counter?
11:11 I think all the sugar companies are
11:13 seeing problems with respect to the ethanol.
11:15 They are not getting the material from the FCI.
11:18 And there is also a learned to be a shortage of grains
11:22 in the market.
11:22 And next year, we don't know what
11:25 will happen in the monsoon season.
11:27 So the fortunes ties up with how the blending takes
11:31 place in the country.
11:32 And we have already seen re-dating
11:34 in case of Praj industry.
11:36 I mean, the valuations are on the high side.
11:38 The stock is trading close to eight, nine times
11:40 the book value.
11:41 So I think quite a lot is already pricing.
11:43 In my sense, I think it is better to exit this stock.
11:47 All right, let's quickly take a view on Biocon as well.
11:50 We've got Bimla Kukreja, who's writing in from New Delhi.
11:53 Bimla, thanks so much for joining in.
11:54 And Bimla wants to know about whether or not to hold.
11:57 He's bought at level of 250.
12:01 And whether or not to book profits
12:03 based on fundamentals and technicals.
12:05 So first, let me go to you, Amit, on the technicals.
12:08 What's the view?
12:09 We have recommended this counter to our clients
12:12 also for mid-term perspective.
12:14 Almost we are seeing that on a monthly basis
12:16 from last four to five months, a strong accumulation
12:18 has been created in this counter.
12:20 And we might see some reversal in the counter.
12:22 As we are seeing that on a weekly chart also,
12:24 a new head and shoulder pattern has been created.
12:26 So we are expecting this counter to show some momentum strongly
12:29 towards 350, 370 levels in coming days of trading session.
12:33 If the counter comes down towards 275, 280 levels,
12:37 then buy and dip strategy need to be created.
12:39 So overall perspective for this counter on the technical front
12:41 looks positive.
12:44 Next up--
12:44 Sorry, I just want to very quickly take
12:46 a fundamental view as well.
12:48 He's trading with-- he's holding on to gains.
12:50 So a very quick view on Bicon.
12:51 Should he hold on?
12:53 I think the numbers are improving.
12:54 The September quarters, we saw significant improvement
12:57 both on the year-on-year and sequentially.
12:59 And the valuations are on the lower side.
13:01 So in that sense, I think it is a very good company.
13:03 And things are obviously improving for the company.
13:06 So in my sense, it is a good book.
13:08 All right.
13:09 Saurabh, next counter that we're talking about
13:12 is National Aluminium.
13:14 This one's from Prasad.
13:16 And they're from Mumbai.
13:17 And they've already bought in the stock at 136 levels.
13:20 The stock is currently a little bit above that.
13:22 It's around 157, so a bit of a profit there.
13:25 But should they continue holding on to it?
13:27 What's your outlook for the sector, and particularly
13:31 this counter as well?
13:33 I think all the metal companies' fortunes
13:35 tie up with how the global economic patterns are.
13:38 In the US, we are seeing stronger economic data.
13:40 Europe is also doing good.
13:42 India is also doing good.
13:43 The problem lies with China.
13:46 China recently, a big real estate company,
13:48 went for bankruptcy.
13:50 So things there are not looking pretty.
13:51 But if you are there in the metals for a long term,
13:54 in the aluminium space, I think things
13:58 are likely to get better.
13:59 So for the very long term, I think
14:01 more than a year or two years, if you stay,
14:03 then you can easily make money.
14:05 So in that sense, it is a book.
14:07 All right, hold on, Nalko.
14:08 It's a view from Saurabh.
14:10 We have to slip into a very quick break.
14:11 But Sushma is asking about Paytm.
14:13 And I'm sure our viewers, apart from her,
14:16 also want to know about this particular counter.
14:18 It is, of course, broken past its circuit today.
14:23 And it's trading with gains of about 2%.
14:25 We've got that for you on the other side of this break.
14:28 So do stay tuned.

17:31 - Welcome back, you're watching Ask Profit,
17:36 and we're taking viewer query.
17:38 So by the way, if you've got questions,
17:39 you should send them to us on the WhatsApp number
17:41 that flashes occasionally on your screen, there it is.
17:44 We're talking about Paytm because we've got Sushma
17:46 from Pune who's asking about this particular counter.
17:49 She's bought at levels of 685.7,
17:53 and today is the first day after three consecutive sessions
17:56 that Paytm is not locked at lower circuit.
18:00 In fact, in pre-open it was,
18:01 and then it's broken out of that lower circuit.
18:04 It's trading with gains of about 2%.
18:06 Just a short while back, we heard from sources
18:09 that the Paytm founder Vijay Shekhar Sharma
18:12 has met RBI officials on the 5th of February,
18:15 that is yesterday.
18:16 So there's a lot developing in the counter
18:19 and in the company, and there are apparently
18:23 various other startups that have written to the government
18:26 to ask them to step in perhaps.
18:29 Let's see how that pans out.
18:30 But the most important question, Saurabh,
18:32 is should investors hold on if they bought at higher levels,
18:37 or should you even buy at these levels
18:38 thinking that it's a good value to buy?
18:40 - See, in the stock market, you tend to invest
18:45 in the business and it's a possibility
18:49 of growth going forward.
18:51 Here the business itself has been challenged,
18:54 and that is what market is.
18:56 That is why we are seeing stock cracking down badly.
19:00 Previously also there was some problem
19:02 with respect to the lending, short-term lending by the Paytm.
19:06 And now after this RBI statements, I mean the lease,
19:10 the business metric has been challenged.
19:11 I think there is no point in shipping in
19:13 when the stock price is coming, cooling off.
19:16 And in my sense, I think it is better
19:20 to get out of this.
19:22 - All right, fair point.
19:24 Let's talk about the next counter,
19:26 which is Shipping Corporation of India.
19:28 This one's from Mohit from Ludhiana.
19:30 They've bought the stock at 39 levels.
19:32 So the stock is currently around 263 levels.
19:35 Now the particular question that they're asking
19:38 is that considering its divestment,
19:39 the government has spoken about the divestment
19:41 of SEI land and assets, should they continue
19:45 holding it for at least two years?
19:47 Saurabh, in the short term we're seeing concerns
19:51 of red sea freight prices hiking.
19:54 And in the longer term, there's this divestment
19:57 at play in this particular counter.
19:59 What's your sense for the next two years?
20:00 Should they continue holding onto this one?
20:03 Or should they get out considering
20:04 they already have a profit,
20:05 a considerable amount of profit in the stock?
20:08 - See, this is the PSU we have seen
20:10 that has never performed even in the good scenario,
20:14 good business scenario.
20:16 So I think the stock is largely, you know,
20:19 factoring in the divestment that government has planned.
20:22 And that is why the stock prices have already moved up.
20:25 So I think it is better to take some money
20:27 off the top from the table.
20:28 I think it's better to book partial profits.
20:31 - Okay, fair point.
20:32 Suresh from Chalakudi in Kerala is asking
20:34 about Tata Consultancy Services.
20:36 And he's bought at levels of 3,484.
20:39 He's asking whether to hold, sell, or buy more.
20:42 On the technicals, Amit, what's your view?
20:44 - A longer portion can be created
20:47 as we are seeing that the stock has given
20:49 a monthly breakout.
20:50 So we are expecting the counter to show some more strength,
20:53 almost around 7% to 8% really more
20:56 will be witnessed in this counter.
20:58 - All right.
20:59 Next up, we're talking about Idea Forge and Dronacharya.
21:04 This one's from Karthik from Vishakhapatnam.
21:06 And they wanna know if the short-term
21:10 and the long-term view for both of them.
21:11 I'm not sure if they've bought in the stock,
21:14 but let's take a long-term view first.
21:16 So, Saurabh, Idea Forge and Dronacharya.
21:18 - I think the recent number that came,
21:22 Idea Forge were kind of a disappointment.
21:24 I think there was expectation of a good growth,
21:27 but the company came up with the negative growth
21:30 both in the bottom line and top line.
21:32 So in that sense, I think you have to wait
21:34 for this investment to get 55 over a period of time,
21:38 because the business is good
21:40 and the industry is expected to see growth.
21:45 So for the long-term, I think you can hold this company.
21:48 And with respect to Dronacharya,
21:50 I think it is quite rich on the valuation side.
21:53 So I think it is better to exit.
21:55 - Okay, fair point.
21:56 Hemant is asking a question.
21:59 He's writing in from Bengaluru,
22:00 asking about Petronet LNG, holding from levels of 230,
22:04 and asking whether the book profits at this juncture.
22:07 Amit, what's the view?
22:08 - Overall, we are seeing that the OMZ counters
22:10 are showing some positive strength
22:11 and continuous addition from the oil front
22:14 and the volume front has been witnessed.
22:16 If you look at the Petronet also,
22:18 the counter is coming near the monthly resistance
22:20 of 300 levels.
22:21 Once the stock gives clearance about 300 levels,
22:24 then the stock will shift into the new range
22:26 of 300 to 340 range.
22:28 So currently the momentum,
22:29 and if you look at the chart structure,
22:31 the daily pattern, it seems to be in the positive front.
22:34 New long position can also be created at this point of time
22:37 with the first target of 300 rupees.
22:38 And once the stock gets to closing about 300 levels,
22:41 then another target would be 340.
22:43 - All right, next up, we're talking about Bajaj Finance.
22:46 This one's from Tanya,
22:48 and they're saying that the stock has corrected
22:50 and we've seen a little bit of correction post the results.
22:53 Saurabh, what's your view for longer term?
22:56 Is it a good time to enter into the stock?
22:58 - I don't think so.
23:00 I think the things are not moving
23:02 the way the company would like to.
23:04 I mean, previously also we saw that the company
23:07 went into the consolidation,
23:08 then the growth came back
23:09 and we saw the stock prices moving up.
23:11 And now with the RBI, some statements coming
23:14 from the RBI directives coming from the RBI,
23:16 some business metrics have been challenged.
23:18 There's a lot of competition also that is coming
23:21 in the way of the Bajaj Finance Group.
23:23 So I think the stock is expected to underperform.
23:26 I don't expect even the stock to give
23:29 broader indices kind of a return.
23:33 So in that sense, I think it is a-
23:35 - Okay, Pratima is asking a question about energy stocks,
23:38 and we've seen a few in the energy pack
23:40 doing particularly well in the recent past.
23:42 Amit, based on the charts,
23:43 does anything stand out today to buy?
23:46 - Counter that looks positive for me,
23:49 first would be INOX Wind.
23:50 INOX Wind seems to be on the positive front.
23:52 We are seeing that the counter has given
23:54 a long-term breakout in yesterday's trading session
23:56 with the volume front.
23:58 If you look at the monthly structure,
23:59 the counter is showing a flag pattern formation
24:01 on the monthly page, and again,
24:03 the counter is ready for the next breakout
24:05 and the range shifting for this counter
24:07 is most likely visible on the charts.
24:09 We are seeing that once counter gets stable
24:11 above 550 levels, then again, momentum will get built up
24:14 for the counter to go towards the 620, 650 level
24:17 on the upper end base.
24:18 So new long position can be created at this point of time
24:21 and your counter gets a dip towards the 495 to 510 level,
24:25 then new long positions can be added
24:27 at that point of time also, and averaging can be done.
24:29 So overall, INOX Wind looks positive
24:31 for the mid-term perspective.
24:33 - All right, and Amit, what about Max Healthcare?
24:37 Ramesh bought the stock at 580 levels.
24:40 It's around 800 right now.
24:42 He wants to know if you should add more at these levels.
24:45 - We want to add more.
24:47 Once the counter goes above 815 levels,
24:49 then new long position can be created.
24:50 From last seven to eight days of trading session,
24:53 we are seeing the counter is trading
24:54 in the range of 50 points,
24:55 but the volume has been added up subsequently.
24:58 So we are expecting to let the counter
25:00 give the breakout of 815
25:01 after that new long position can be created.
25:03 Once the counter goes above 815 level,
25:06 almost from that level,
25:07 we might see 70 to 80 points relief from that point.
25:10 - Ashok Leyland is the next counter we're looking at,
25:12 and it had quite the third quarter
25:15 with margins expanding quite a bit,
25:17 but we've got Abhishek asking for a target
25:20 for the current month itself.
25:22 So therefore, what's the view, Amit, on the charts?
25:24 - If you look at Ashok Leyland,
25:27 the counter is showing some positive strength,
25:30 but we have seen that the completely sell-off,
25:33 the profits has been winded up
25:35 in today's trading session.
25:36 If you look at the overall structure,
25:38 the support for the stock is at 174.
25:40 Hold the counter with the support of 174 level.
25:42 For the current month, once the stock goes above 188 level,
25:45 then only confirmation will come for the counter
25:47 to move towards the 198 to 202 level.
25:50 - All right, next one's from Palani Appan.
25:54 They're talking about Dr. Reddy's.
25:55 They've bought the stock.
25:57 The stock is up in trade today about 1.5%.
26:03 Should they hold on to the stock?
26:05 That's the question.
26:06 Saurabh, Dr. Reddy's, we've seen the results
26:08 a couple of days ago, profit expanded,
26:11 but what's the sense for the longer term?
26:14 - See, longer term sense is pretty fine.
26:16 I mean, both are the companies did well
26:18 both on the domestic market itself and the US market also.
26:21 The management looks quite confident.
26:23 Some new drugs are in the pipeline
26:26 in which they are expected to gain traction.
26:28 I think it is a kind of a portfolio stock portfolio.
26:32 - Unfortunately, we're completely out of time
26:34 on this particular edition of Ask Profit.
