00:00 Cleveland Golf just released an entirely new short game system,
00:03 and it just might be the answer to some of your most common mistakes.
00:06 I had a chance to catch up with one of their equipment experts at the PGA show
00:10 to learn more about the new SmartSoul full-face wedges,
00:13 and he gave me the rundown on what makes these things so interesting.
00:16 They took a look at some of the most common mistakes in short game play
00:19 and created solutions.
00:20 For the old dreaded chunk shot, they built this ultra-wide sole
00:24 with a three-tiered bounce for optimal turf interaction.
00:27 Okay, but what about blading it across the green?
00:29 They reworked the leading edge to better help the club get under the ball
00:32 and get the ball up in the air.
00:33 Yeah, well, how about finally trying to get some spin on the ball?
00:36 They created these deeper, sharper grooves that cover the entire face of the club.
00:40 Plus, this textured face is made to help get more grip on the ball out of any lot.
00:44 But one of the biggest mistakes they focused on was club selection.
00:48 They've put together a complete four-club system,
00:50 so there's one club for each short game shot you might encounter.
00:54 A chipper, a gap wedge, a sand wedge, and a lob wedge,
00:57 Which means there's no grind selection or confusing guesswork.
