00:00 Meet the world's first 8K projector with wireless connectivity.
00:04 It's aptly called the Premiere 8K and it's the newest addition to Samsung's lifestyle TV lineup.
00:09 We're some of the first people to see it in person at CES 2024.
00:13 Let's go take a closer look.
00:15 Samsung already had the Premiere 4K, but this is an 8K projector that,
00:18 I'll just cut to the chase, makes a pretty strong impression.
00:21 The biggest difference between the previous Premiere and this one is something Samsung calls
00:25 the Wireless One Connect box that transmits content from all of your various inputs to the projector,
00:31 freeing up your options for cable management a bit and keeping your setup looking clean.
00:35 The Wireless One Connect box works as long as it's within 10 meters of the projector.
00:39 That actually gives you a lot of room to work with, but you'll probably need a space with a lot
00:44 of room for this because it projects up to 150 inches from just one foot away from the wall.
00:49 For comparison, the 4K Premiere maxed out at a 120-inch projection.
00:53 It's meant to look great with an AI upscaling engine that takes 4K content and makes it 8K.
00:58 It helps that it has 4000 lumens auto brightness that adjusts the picture to look more accurate
01:02 based on ambient light conditions.
01:04 Currently, we're kind of in an in-between dark and light.
01:07 I would be interested to see how the triple laser light actually holds up
01:11 with full daylight flooding into a room.
01:13 I would say it looked kind of under-saturated here,
01:16 especially compared to the other TVs we saw at Samsung's CES setup.
01:19 Hopefully, it sounds a bit stronger.
01:21 The projector speaker supports 100-watt output and 8.2.2 channel with Dolby Atmos.
01:27 Samsung's sound on-screen technology is meant to lift the audio to feel as though it's coming
01:31 from the screen and not the projector box where the speakers are housed.
01:34 Or you could even just use it as a smart speaker if you like when you're not watching anything.
01:38 Samsung isn't sharing a price for this beast of a projector quite yet,
01:42 but we do know it's going to cost a pretty penny.
01:44 For this premium tier, you get handy features such as auto keystone,
01:47 auto focus, screen scale, and side lever height adjustment.
01:51 It also has a full Tizen Smart TV interface so you can stream without any inputs,
01:55 but I have to imagine gaming on this thing would be pretty epic.
01:58 I'm not sure that I have the space for the Premiere 8K setup in my living room,
02:02 but if you did, is this something that you would spring for?
