00:00 Well in this neighborhood we had some significant mudslide on the steep terrain

00:04 that damaged six homes. Out of precaution we evacuated seven homes. That equated to

00:10 six adults and nine children that we assisted with Red Cross immediately. We've had 307 mudslides in

00:19 Los Angeles as of 4 p.m. yesterday. So there's a lot of work that's been taking place throughout

00:26 the night and we're really encouraging people to limit non-essential travel. And the reason for that

00:32 is this. We've had significant rainfall over several days and even though it stopped at the moment

00:39 the hillsides will continue to move for the next several days. Yesterday we heard trucks and knew

00:46 something had happened. We assumed maybe it was something like a tree might be down but we had

00:52 power so we didn't really suspect much but when I came up the driveway and turned I could not believe

00:59 what I saw. I mean the mudslide, the cars, we've lived here 23 years have never not even remotely

01:09 had anything like this before. Obviously we are concerned this might happen again. Last night it

01:16 was raining on and off. I did not sleep well. Again with our home not being up against the hill

01:22 hillside we were less worried but we're still concerned. So you know every time there was kind

01:29 of a loud noise you know I was up thinking okay is something going on we're supposed to get more

01:35 rains I don't know in another week or two or you know so is this now going to become a recurring

01:40 problem we don't know. Yeah.
