00:00 Hi, my name's Sam and I'm out chatting to people today about what they make of the news of the King's cancer diagnosis,
00:07 what they think about Harry coming back and any well wishes they wish to send to him.
00:12 The rules have been a bit more open recently, obviously Kate's being ill and now the news
00:17 that the King has got cancer, do you think they'd be more open?
00:20 Definitely, definitely, I think that's the only time you've ever heard these kind of personal news announcements.
00:26 So they're definitely doing things differently now.
00:28 And do you think that openness is supportive of obviously current cancer victims and they kind of see that as,
00:36 you know, something not to be ashamed of and survive?
00:38 Yes, yeah, I think it's helpful. It's helpful that things aren't buried and pushed under the carpet.
00:42 And then do you think Harry coming over is kind of an indication of how serious it is?
00:46 I did wonder that myself, I must admit, yes, or whether it's just that he wants to be seen to be
00:50 broaching, you know, mending the piece of it.
00:55 And finally, do you kind of wish the King well?
00:57 Oh, absolutely, absolutely. I hope his treatment goes well.
01:00 Everyone seems to really like him and yeah, I'm obsessed about it.
01:05 Do you think the rules have become a bit more open?
01:09 Obviously, Kate's been ill recently and now the news that the King has cancer,
01:14 do you think that news is more open?
01:16 Yes, yes, I think so.
01:18 Yeah.
01:20 And he said on the radio that him being open about it might help other people.
01:28 Yeah, do you think that supports cancer?
01:31 Yeah.
01:32 I think it's important, yeah, that we're more involved now with
01:34 and kept to date feeling there's an honesty and an openness.
01:38 Yeah, do you think him coming out is kind of supportive for cancer victims right now as well?
01:46 Yeah, I think there'll be more of an awareness to it and hopefully then there'll be more,
01:50 like I said, an awareness for people and obviously, I think you have to share
01:56 a bit more information about it rather than there's some secrecy about it because it's all
02:02 speculative whether it's prostate or whatever.
02:05 So do you think Harry coming back over is kind of an indication of how serious it is?
02:12 Or do you think that's a kind of a family matter?
02:14 I think it's a family matter, yeah.
02:16 Yeah, I think there's a different side to that story as well, whether there is
02:22 a motive behind it or whether it is concern, you know what I mean?
02:25 Yeah, do you wish the king well anyway?
02:28 Yeah, at the end of the day, I mean, I've got a family member that
02:32 literally means she's on borrowed time now, so.
02:35 Everybody has been more recently, it's the trend of times.
02:40 Yeah, do you think his son coming over is kind of an indication of how serious it is?
02:46 Or is that just a family matter to do with cancer?
02:48 Cancer is always serious thing, but you notice I didn't announce what kind of cancer is or any
02:56 other kind of detail, so you never know.
03:00 Yeah, well.
03:02 It's probably one of these things that you can be open up to a certain extent, not much more.
03:08 Do you wish him well?
