Deafening Bass-Mobile Boasts 62 Speakers
Dominating Atlanta’s thriving car-modding scene has come easy for one man and his Joker-themed, speaker-packed bass-mobile. Jay Jones, AKA ‘Joka’, used 62 speakers to transform his 2004 Tahoe into an earth-shaking monster on 30-inch rims, and he’s causing a stir at car shows around the South East US. Jay, whose moniker stands for ‘Justified Over Known Adversity’ told Ridiculous Rides: “When I go to shows and people hear me turn the truck on, they get to dancing, they come over with cameras, they enjoy my truck. “I focus on audio because I like to please the crowd and also I like to get the crowd moving, I like to see the kids dancing around, even the old people, you know?"

04:04 That's what really made me want to be in the car scene

04:10 I use this truck mainly to go and do the shows.
04:14 This helps me deal with the death of my dad.
04:16 My dad passed away three and a half years ago.
04:19 When I go to the shows and I win, it does something to me.
04:22 Like, it messes me up.
04:25 Like, when I leave, after I get my trophies,
04:28 I ride in the truck by myself and play my music.
04:31 You know, I shed a tear
04:32 because I feel like my dad watching me.
04:35 Every weekend, I do shows.
04:45 It might be two to three shows every weekend.
04:48 I got 169 trophies now.
04:51 The last show that I just went to last week,
04:55 I ended up winning nine trophies.
04:57 When I go to shows and people hear me turn the truck on,
05:02 shoot, they get to dancing.
05:03 They come over there with cameras
05:14 or they come over there with their phones.
05:16 They, you know, they talk to me and they enjoy my truck.
05:19 Like, the kids, they love it.
05:20 But when they sit in the inside,
05:21 the first thing they do, they grab their ears.
05:24 No, don't grab your ears.
05:26 What you need to do is learn how to control your breathing
05:28 because the bass will pull your breath.
05:31 And I tell them, "Hold on to your hat,"
05:33 because it's a bass.
05:35 It blows your hair.
05:36 It makes towels float.
05:38 It makes bags float.
05:40 It'll knock their glasses off.
05:42 And they love it.
05:42 Like, they love it.
05:50 I focus on audio because I like to please the crowd.
05:53 So I like to get the crowd moving.
05:55 I like to see the kids dancing around,
05:58 even the old people, you know.
05:59 When it gets dark, this truck really comes to life.

06:14 You might think it's actually Christmas.
06:18 I have roughly probably like 60,000 in this truck.

06:23 I think I would consider selling the truck
06:28 if the right money come along, I'll let it go.

06:34 I'll sell it and do something bigger.
