00:00 Has any one of you, individually, as a couple, dabbled in polyamory or had any polyamory
00:06 experiences?
00:07 Like a pinch.
00:08 A pinch?
00:09 A little pinch.
00:10 A little dip the toe in.
00:12 Couple to Thrupple, the newest dating show from Peacock explores many individuals potentially
00:16 looking to change up their relationship by adding a third.
00:19 What's Trending sat down with host Scott Evans to learn all about the details on the
00:22 latest series.
00:26 This is a place where anything can happen.
00:30 And the stakes couldn't be higher because you've all been asking yourselves the question,
00:35 has monogamy been holding us back?
00:38 Maybe even, are we better as a thrupple?
00:41 In your POV, how would you describe this show to someone who's never heard of this?
00:46 Alright, let's see.
00:47 Couple to Thrupple is a show where we're inviting several couples down to this experience to
00:55 answer the question for themselves, are we better as a three?
01:00 What would happen to our dynamic if we opened up our relationship to include another love?
01:07 Evans and relationship expert, Shamiya Howard, guide the couples through all sorts of challenges
01:11 in their journey.
01:12 Finding their path forward, the couples even find themselves in love, romance, and even
01:16 drama.
01:17 Will they commit to life as a three?
01:19 Will you be my girlfriend?
01:20 I just got two.
01:22 The compatibility is off the charts so far.
01:26 Or will this experience reveal that the thrupple life is not for them?
01:30 You obviously had a relationship expert.
01:33 You had a lot of couples who were doing things for the first time and having new scenarios
01:37 thrown in.
01:38 How would you describe some of the challenges and did you see growth from any of the couples
01:42 in the end?
01:43 Oh my gosh.
01:44 Okay, so first off, I saw growth in every single couple that showed up on this show.
01:48 Every single couple that showed up on this show grew in ways that I don't even know that
01:52 they were prepared for, right?
01:54 Because the idea is that you are either leaving this thing the way you came, as a couple,
02:01 hopefully stronger for the experience.
02:04 Certainly, hopefully, you are thrupled up and successful exploration.
02:10 You have decided this life, this poly experience is something that is for you and that this
02:14 thruple is a new dynamic you are willing to endeavor in.
02:17 Or that your desires no longer are in alignment with the person that you arrived on this experience
02:24 with, to this experience with, and that maybe you go your separate ways.
02:27 And so all of our couples are faced with that scenario, you know what I mean?
02:32 Faced with that question and they all have to answer that true to themselves.
02:36 And there are so many ways you can slice that and we get a slice about every way you can
02:41 imagine it.
02:42 And so yeah, the growth was for them, but we also saw it with the singles that showed
02:46 up on the show, to be honest with you.
02:48 Like there are people who, yeah, there are people who signed up for this experience because
02:52 they were wanting to be in a relationship with a couple.
02:56 They were wanting to grow in a relationship with two people already in an established
03:00 dynamic.
03:01 You see them grow to make better, to more clearly define what it is they want, to more
03:08 clearly articulate who it is they mean to be.
03:12 And it was a really cool thing.
03:13 And of course you can catch a couple to throuple now streaming on Peacock.
