00:00 There's no evidence that they're safe. They do have a narrower band of UV, but it is still
00:06 UV light that damages the skin. So if you get a tan, that is a sign of skin cells in
00:16 trauma responding to the radiation. So these are not safe. We actually strongly recommend
00:24 broad spectrum sunscreens and they're what is approved and regulated in Australia because
00:30 there is no safe UV narrow band. So it's a ruse. They're trying to mislead and action
00:38 does need to be taken. Pleasingly, we have legislation regulations in all states and
00:44 territories that cover the use of solariums and tanning devices that do cover these devices
00:53 as well. I'm sure investigations are underway. The legalities will be checked, but certainly
01:00 it is my understanding on looking at these regulations myself that these calarium operators
01:07 should be prosecuted.
