00:00 I'm afraid your friend till the end can't really bend. Here's a look at the
00:04 brand new Mezco toys five points Chucky.
00:09 [Music]
00:13 This Mezco toys Chucky deluxe figure set comes with all the parts and all the
00:36 pieces you need to create your favorite version of Lakeshore Strangler complete
00:39 with four interchangeable heads, five interchangeable arms, five interchangeable
00:43 accessories and two interchangeable chest pieces. Chucky can take on multiple
00:48 distinct looks from different child's play films. Just before Chucky gets to
00:52 the point, all five of them at least, let's grab the tape measure and see how
00:56 tall the brand new Mezco toys five point Chucky stands. Not only is it gonna be a
01:00 small figure but he's also I think asking too high of a price. This guy
01:03 ordered online from Entertainment Earth and even not even Entertainment Earth
01:06 but other online sites that sell figures sell this guy for around $35. Now
01:11 converting that to Canadian because I'm a Canadian collector that makes a figure
01:14 like this about $48 actually to be exact it was like $48.35, not that
01:19 35 cents really makes much difference. That's only six dollars less than a
01:23 NECA Ultimate release of Chucky at least because here in Canada they're $54.
01:27 Six dollar difference that's a bit steep when you're considering the two
01:31 different lines. Either way though Chucky stands about two and three quarters of
01:34 an inch in height or the figure is only about seven centimeters tall. I guess
01:38 seeing as I did mention NECA and all I was gonna slide over here the Chucky
01:41 that we get from Mezco and bring in the Ultimate release Child's Play Chucky. Now
01:45 based again on Canadian prices this guy would be about $54 here in Canada so
01:49 again like converted over this guy would be about $48 a difference of six.
01:52 Completely different companies approaching Chucky completely different
01:56 ways. Now obviously this one benefited from having much more additional
01:59 articulation quite a lot of accessories too. Mezco does release this guy to be
02:04 fair with quite a lot of accessories but still enough to be a six dollar
02:07 difference. You guys can let me know down below in the comment section if that's
02:10 too high. Even though the cost is questionable at least Mezco does offset
02:14 some of the price by including quite a lot of accessories with Chucky. One thing
02:18 that the figure has that NECA can't say that they had with their release is that
02:21 he actually comes with a rectangular display stand. Granted there's nothing
02:24 really printed on the stand it's just molded here in black plastic. It does
02:27 have one peg here that you can take yourself your Chucky and on the bottoms
02:30 of his feet he has not just one but two peg holes. It kind of actually looks like a
02:34 Sesame Street puppet. You just take the feet and attach them on to the provided
02:38 peg and now Chucky's got himself a little display stand. The fact that Mezco
02:42 also calls this a five-point line leads me to believe that they're probably
02:44 going to be doing future releases and I wouldn't be surprised if Chucky isn't
02:47 greeted by his bride Tiffany in an upcoming release and they're probably
02:50 all gonna use that same rectangular stand. Taking the stand off for right now
02:54 at least the figure also comes in clue with all of these weapons that he can
02:57 wield some a little bit better than others. You may be taking a tally right
03:01 now and noticing that there is one missing accessory. That little tiny
03:04 pistol I was trying to do my best not to lose at the beginning in this review
03:07 when I was you know taking it out of the tray. Anybody want to take a guess where
03:10 it is right now? It's somewhere on the floor underneath me. Unfortunately though
03:14 I've looked around I still continue to look around and I can't find it. If I
03:18 happen to find it you'll see here in final looks. If you don't see it in final
03:21 looks just make the assumption it's still missing. The figure comes included
03:25 with though a small knife. Still though as small as it is it was bigger than the
03:29 pistol. The knife blade has been molded here in gunmetal gray. The handle is a
03:33 combination of both blacks and golds and can be fit into his hand. Now he has two
03:38 gripping hands for this side of his figure's body. He has hand for already
03:41 holding the knife if you want to have it upright or if he wants to take a page
03:44 from Myers you can also have the knife facing downward. Just be careful you
03:48 don't lose it whatever you do. The figure also comes in clue with a slightly
03:51 larger knife. Putting the figure down here for a second. A slightly larger knife
03:54 of a completely different design. This one has a broader blade still in gunmetal
03:58 gray. This one now has a brown handle instead of black and can again be
04:01 wielded in his hands. This one you have to be a little bit more careful with
04:04 because when you put it in you kind of have to put it down on a side and then
04:07 twist it around and again you just whatever you don't want to bang. I've
04:12 banged this figure now a couple of times and I've I've lost a couple of knives but
04:15 at least I found the knives. I still can't find the pistol. What he does also
04:19 come included with is the meter stick from Child's Play 2. While it doesn't
04:23 have any markers telling us what centimeters and what inches. Funny
04:26 enough though he's about the meter stick is about the same size. Is it a yard
04:30 stick? I'm gonna say a meter stick. It's about the same size though as Chucky and
04:33 again you can take the meter stick and just slide in between his hand like that.
04:38 Unfortunately just by the fact he doesn't have twistable hands like this
04:41 you can't bring the arm around and you can't have him holding it in both arms.
04:44 Funny enough though I did actually change out one of the arms. That was
04:47 something I did want to talk about a little bit later but we'll kind of talk
04:50 about that in a second. The figure also comes included with his axe. Now the axe
04:53 is nicely done here in a metallic silver. Luckily enough the blade is not
04:57 enough that it's gonna be cutting any skin. The problem with the actual axe
05:00 though is I can't get it into his hand. I can get into his hand if it's on an
05:04 angle but if I want to have it facing forward it's like the grip just isn't
05:08 designed to hold this handle properly. It works okay with the meter stick. It works
05:13 okay with the two knives but yet I can't do anything when it comes to actually it
05:16 just isn't cutting it. I don't see what I did there. It just doesn't cut it when it
05:19 comes to the axe. He does also come included with a bunch of swappable arms.
05:23 Now really I should have started this review with the relaxed hand. I'm just
05:27 gonna put the figure down here for a second because it comes included with
05:29 basically the other hand. Well almost the mirror flip to this one right here.
05:33 Although this one does have a trigger finger this one is not. This one doesn't
05:37 have it. I mean this hand you could I suppose also use this for holding the
05:40 axe but again like if you look at the grip you really have to push it in there.
05:44 It's almost as if the hands and the thumb even together teaming up to do
05:49 this. You just can't quite hold the axe. It holds it okay until you touch it
05:53 and then it just springs out of his hand. That's probably one of the reasons
05:57 why I was losing as many accessories as I was doing these reviews. But again if
06:01 you want to swap out the arm now the one I've already got inside his socket is
06:04 this pushing hand. I'd say it's pushing because it looks like he's pushing a
06:08 babysitter out the window. You could really have the hand down like this but
06:14 it's so awkwardly shaped and posed like this that it only looks like it serves
06:18 one purpose and that's pushing people out windows. To change out the arms by
06:22 the way is very easy. It's just a case of prying the plastic, prying the arms kind
06:25 of away from the torso and these just pop right out. Super super easy and again
06:29 if you want just pop the new arms in just snap it in place. He also does have
06:33 I guess while he has one arm missing on the other side he also has a bent arm
06:37 again that has a grip on the end of it for holding any of the accessories we've
06:40 already had a look at. Again that just pops onto the side of his body. The one
06:45 thing I will say though about the bent arm is I feel it's a little too bent
06:48 even if for example you take yourself the knife which I'm sure is the intended
06:51 purpose for this sliding up into the hand. I mean it just looks like it's way
06:55 too bent. I would have maybe made it a little bit closer to his body but again
06:59 if you wanted to have him pose like this on the shelf hey it still looks good and
07:02 then of course one other thing he also comes included with as well oh I just
07:05 dropped the knife at least I know where the knife is this time he also comes in
07:08 clue with the knife hand now the blade on the end of course like he has in the
07:11 movie this again you just pop the arm off I know it sounds more like a
07:16 tutorial and you see how easy it is really to change out the arms just
07:18 popping that off again just pop them out and just swap them out with the arm that
07:22 you want to use I guess what we're on the really on the topic of this
07:24 particular arm the figure has a bunch of swappable heads the defaulted head that
07:29 he has or at least the one I want to start the review with is more just the
07:32 traditional good guy I couldn't help but notice though like paint for the most
07:36 part is pretty good on this the freckles are nicely placed across the face it's
07:39 got a little bit of rosy red there on his cheeks eyelashes are one thing I
07:43 will say though but the eyelashes is it looks like this one is kind of wandering
07:45 a little bit away from the eye either that or these eyelashes are too close to
07:50 the eye let me know which eyelashes look closer to his face or which ones are the
07:54 better printed ones I still think that these ones are a little bit off to the
07:57 side but again like if you want to just more traditional looking good guy this
08:01 one does the job pretty good I think like the hair and is the hair for
08:03 example is a little too dark but if you did want to have more of a possessed
08:06 looking Chucky and then there's also this head sculpt here as well I got to
08:10 say I don't love this head there's me I think the problem with it is probably
08:14 the mouth it doesn't look as much like an evil Chucky it actually looks more
08:18 like a Chucky that smelt something and just didn't like the smell of it
08:21 changing out the head though just popping this off and then we're just
08:24 gonna take the large peg I mean these are all large pegs so you have nothing
08:27 really to worry about the plastics pretty good on these two and then just
08:30 pops into place like that so again you got your good guy face you've got your
08:34 kind of possessed Chucky face but to do one better because of course he does
08:38 have the blade arm he does also come with the spaghetti face why they keep
08:42 calling it the spaghetti face Chucky this one has the scar though on the side
08:45 of his face very bloodied looking good guy and of course he does have missing
08:49 lips on the front of his face I think it's supposed to be missing lips it kind
08:52 of looks like or he has really swollen lips like he just got surgery done again
08:56 we just pop the head off we replace it with this body plop into place like that
09:00 and again you got yourself like the you know the knife hand and the the pizza
09:05 face one thing I also did do wrong because I kind of been playing around
09:09 with this figure for the last couple of hours is that I did use the wrong torso
09:12 piece this whole time what I should have really been using at the beginning of
09:15 this review was a more regular non stitched up version of his good guy
09:19 coveralls because what I am using right now is what I was using earlier when I
09:23 was playing around with the figure I this was really the coveralls better
09:26 suited for like the bride and seed of Chucky face sculpt which is also one
09:29 that he comes included with as well I guess while we're on that here's what
09:33 the face sculpt looks like for the bride and seed of Chucky which has the visible
09:37 staples and the scarring the stitches all across the front of his face really
09:40 nice looking head sculpt I really of the four figures figure head sculpts at
09:44 least this is my favorite figure of the Chucky's and again just to pop that out
09:48 now that we really do have the proper coveralls I'll have to kind of do things
09:51 backwards this time around popping in the head out and you can see yeah this
09:55 one looks a lot better with the coveralls that I had don't worry don't
09:59 worry I'll show you guys still how to change the front of his torso that's one
10:02 other thing that's swappable on the figures body to do that by the way it's
10:05 just a case of popping the arms out you really do want to remove the arms
10:09 because it's gonna be a lot easier to take the torso piece off and see as I
10:12 did do this backwards we just pop the head off here now to get access to this
10:15 what they've actually done is instead of making the cut right down the middle I
10:19 they obviously didn't do that because I think when you were to rotate the arms
10:22 back and forth it would only just ultimately start to separate the front
10:26 of his torso from the back but they did instead they took a detour around the
10:30 shoulder socket and they cut it up at the top unfortunately though it's really
10:34 hard to get access to the body I found the easiest thing to do was take your
10:37 finger and just use your nail it certainly benefits those that have
10:40 longer nails I don't really have longer nails but you're just gonna get your
10:43 finger in the top of the collar piece and you're just gonna separate it kind
10:48 of like whether you're separating muscles I know I'm not a big fan of
10:50 muscles myself but just pry those off it really does benefit also you got to make
10:54 sure the legs are further back because the legs are only gonna get in the way
10:56 of things and you just attach it see how the inside has two pegs and a peg down
11:00 below this has been the holes on the other side kind of looks like the face
11:03 of a cyber man from Doctor Who weird reference but taking the correct torso
11:10 which I really should start the review with we're just gonna line up the pegs
11:13 on this on the top and the peg down below here we're gonna line up with the
11:15 holes and we're gonna snap it in place and again you want just make sure the
11:19 legs are far enough back for that then we just rinse and repeat the steps of
11:22 putting the arms back in those just peg on one side let's take where's the
11:27 relaxed arm where's the relaxed arm here's a relaxed arm we're just gonna
11:30 take that and snap it into place and then we're gonna take ourselves an
11:34 appropriately properly sculpted head sculpt that's gonna go along with this
11:38 body this is the way I really should have started the reviews again like
11:42 changing out the arms isn't so much an issue neither is really the head it's
11:45 just this torso piece you really have to kind of get in there with your fingers
11:48 to pry the front away and even though I really should have started the review
11:51 with the proper coveralls is again the difference between the two the only real
11:54 difference is the fact that this has a little tear on the side and of course
11:57 the little visible stitch lines on the top but on that though it's pretty much
12:00 the exact same coveralls funny though is when they first advertised this online
12:05 what they basically did was I don't know if it was this way around but basically
12:08 the picture of Chucky and then they had like all the accessories and then they
12:11 had the torso piece and all his arms I immediately thought is this one full
12:16 torso piece like I thought it was literally just this this whole part but
12:19 just with the scarring and I thought well if you get the extra arms with the
12:23 figure anyways and you get the extra heads with the figure anyways why would
12:27 they then give us extra legs and I thought that Mezco was just being sneaky
12:30 turns out they weren't being sneaky it's not a complete torso it's only just the
12:34 front half for the articulation on Chucky here the heads gonna rotate all
12:38 the way around the arms of course only rotate all the way around there's no
12:41 swivels at all in the hands and the legs do move back and forth as well so again
12:46 there's only five points of articulation bit of a steep price I feel again
12:49 asking that this guy's $34.99 but again you could say as well that they did
12:53 offset some of the prices by including all the extra accessories the hardest
12:57 thing for really being as a reviewer is again if I was if I was to do just a
13:00 straight comparison and say okay there's the NECA one and then there's the Mezco
13:04 one which would you prefer I would recommend right away the NECA one
13:07 because again it has the additional articulation it bears a better stronger
13:10 likeness to Chucky of course from the films it's just a nicer looking figure
13:13 but you don't you can't do that you have to kind of look at the figures for what
13:17 they are and the merits for what they bring and with the super seven like
13:20 retro figures that have the five points of articulation here in Canada I mean
13:24 like even like inflation for those those are like $25 a piece and that only has
13:27 just a figure as it is on its own with only five points to
13:32 swivel that's all they have and they're already $25 so for that at least like if
13:36 you look at it from that standpoint Mezco by adding an extra $10 on top of
13:40 that I guess it's not terrible considering he has all as many
13:43 accessories as he has keeping in mind again he has four interchangeable heads
13:46 he has a bunch of swappable arms and he has the front chest piece that swaps out
13:50 as well you know again 35 is a bit steep but again for the fact that they throw
13:54 in as much as they did if it was just for example let's just move this guy out
13:57 of the way if it was for example just this guy on his own and they were saying
14:00 that selling this to the consumers at $35 I would say hey wait you guys are
14:04 crazy I don't know what you guys have been into but that's not that's not a
14:07 price that I'm willing to pay for it but because he has all the extra things that
14:11 we've already had a look in this review I think it does offset some of the
14:14 prices like I said at the beginning of this video I think that Mezco I mean for
14:17 $35.99 $34.99 or whatever the price was that I ordered this guy online it's
14:22 steep yes but at least he gets extra things that go along with him as we now
14:27 move over to the rotisserie and the brand new Mezco five-point Chucky he
14:30 isn't displayed no with this pistol so if anybody was wondering if I actually
14:33 did find the pistol I spent a good 10 to 15 minutes after the last part of this
14:38 review just kind of looking and surveying the floor area around me and I
14:41 don't know I can't find it which hopefully means that if I can't find it
14:45 the cats can't also find it because then I'm sure I'm probably gonna be finding
14:48 it in the litter box and then nobody's gonna want that pistol I think for what
14:52 we get here from Mezco granted it's a five-point articulated Chucky is not bad
14:56 it's limited when it comes to this possibility it's certainly not making it
15:00 up for in the price because the price is a little on the higher side but you know
15:03 across the board inflation is affecting everything that we're buying as
15:07 collectors it's not just Mezco it's also the likes of NECA toys McFarland
15:11 toys everything is going up if we were looking at this figure back in 2000 we
15:15 probably would be having this discussion I would be talking about this figure
15:18 being around $18 or probably even less than that the fact that we are looking
15:21 at this figure in 2024 means that at this point of the conversation we're
15:25 looking at a figure that's $35 now 35 again dollars you're getting at least
15:29 enough things swappable arms swappable heads at least one thing that they've
15:33 actually done is they've stocked this guy up with extra accessories to again
15:37 offset the price of what they're selling him for now with this figure also having
15:41 easy to swap out limbs it means changing out the parts on him and changing the
15:44 head are super easy it's not as easy though to change the torso you have to
15:48 get your finger in the top of his collar to kind of pry the front half of his
15:51 body from the back half of his body but at least you can alternate the looks
15:55 from a regular good guy to the more scarred look that he has in Bride of
15:59 Chucky although even though I did do it wrong at the beginning of this review
16:02 what do you guys think though of this figure let me know down below in the
16:05 comments section is the price too high that this guy's a total pass or could
16:09 you guys still see yourselves wanting to pick him up now if you are interested to
16:12 pick him up you can't get him at Entertainment Earth that's where at
16:15 least I found him for $35 about $34 $35 using as well that link that I'm
16:20 providing down below in the video description will take you as well 10%
16:23 off not only getting this guy but anything that's currently in stock at
16:27 Entertainment Earth so anything that's currently in stock as soon as you go to
16:31 check out whether it's one item whether it's 12 items it's gonna take 10% off
16:35 your total bill that's not bad you can save a little bit of money but again
16:38 what do you guys think of this figure let me know down below in the comments
16:40 section what do you think is a more right reasonable price that they should
16:43 have been asking for this keeping in mind again like everything's going up
16:46 when it comes to collectibles let me know if you guys also as well enjoyed
16:49 this video one hit with like if you guys are loving the content you guys are
16:52 seeing and you'd like to stick around for more we may be wrapping things up
16:55 right now for a limited articulation Chucky there's definitely gonna be a lot
