00:00 Six years. This is the age when we begin to build our self-esteem. And also the age when
00:12 many girls decide to abandon the idea of pursuing a career and devoting themselves to science.
00:19 Unfortunately, both things are related. At just six years old, girls begin to believe
00:26 they're not as bright as the boys in their class. And gender stereotypes tell them that
00:30 science is for boys. Unfortunately, this prejudice remains with them later in life, with just
00:38 16% of females choosing to pursue a career in science and technology. This lack of professional
00:44 females in the workplace really is wasting a lot of talent. At Meteor though, we want
00:51 to discuss the solution. We value female scientists and want to encourage more girls to pursue
00:57 a career in science today, tomorrow and in the future.
