00:00 >> Especially like a traditional big man, and
00:03 why that isn't like an obvious move for you guys to make?
00:07 >> Well, in terms of what moves to make, again, Sam's gonna do that,
00:13 and a lot of that's based on opportunity, and there's a lot of layers that go into
00:18 those decisions around in a vacuum that he's making.
00:22 So I think it's important to understand that.
00:26 The type of person that we have here, how they fit the organization,
00:31 how they fit the locker room.
00:33 When I say stylistic fit, it's as much about are they competitive,
00:36 are they willing to play inside the team?
00:38 Everybody's game's a little bit different, and part of our job as coaching staff is
00:43 to be flexible and adapt and evolve based on our personnel, which I think we've done.
00:48 We haven't had a static style of play over time.
00:52 It's evolved and it's built based on who we have and what we do well.
00:58 But I would just say anything you change or anything you do in general,
01:03 in basketball, it's a very interconnected game.
01:05 And so every decision you make, whether it's with the roster or
01:08 it's a decision I make on the court, is a domino.
01:11 It's not just a decision in a vacuum.
01:14 You push over one domino and it's gonna knock over more dominoes in that game or
01:18 in the future.
01:20 And evaluating every decision as such, I think is important from our standpoint.
01:26 Whether or not everybody agrees that he's making a lot of decisions,
01:29 we're obviously making a lot of decisions.
01:30 No one's gonna agree with every decision we make.
01:32 But we try to have an appreciation for the layers and
01:36 the consequences of all of our decisions.
01:39 Whether it's Sam making the decisions with the team or
01:42 whether it's our coaching staff making decisions on the court.
