00:00 Dan Dick out here, Gonzaga Nation.
00:02 Well, obviously you've probably seen Gonzaga with the 89-85 win
00:08 at Rupp Arena against 17th ranked Kentucky for their first quad win of the season.
00:13 It's important because a lot of these bracketologists,
00:17 prognosticators have Gonzaga on the outside looking in.
00:21 Needed this one badly, they got it, they played extremely well down the stretch.
00:25 They weathered a 12-0 run early in the second half from Kentucky.
00:31 They weathered foul trouble, in particular to Graham E.K., when Braden Huff stepped in
00:37 and made some enormous plays down the stretch before they were able to close it out.
00:42 But all in all, I thought Ben Gregg was phenomenal,
00:45 maybe his best game as a Gonzaga Bulldog.
00:48 Graham E.K. was tremendous with 23 points, Anton Watts and Nolan Hickman, each with 17.
00:53 Nolan had, I believe, 15 of those 17 in the first half.
00:57 Reed Shepard did what we were expecting or thought he might do
01:02 when I previewed this game with Cole Forsman the other day.
01:05 But at the end of the day, Gonzaga made big plays down the stretch on both ends of the floor.
01:11 The athleticism, the length of Kentucky was impressive at times,
01:17 but Gonzaga kept going down low, whether it was to Graham E.K.,
01:22 whether it was to Braden Huff.
01:24 I thought they were tremendous with their execution down the stretch.
01:27 You got to give Ryan Nembhard a lot of credit as well.
01:29 Didn't score it, but he controlled the game down the stretch,
01:33 made their big plays in regards to getting it in the sets they needed,
01:37 getting the ball to Graham E.K., getting the ball to Braden Huff when he had it rolling down the stretch.
01:42 So there you have it, Gonzaga.
01:45 Big plays in big moments from many guys, which is something that is nice to see.
01:51 Many people were waiting for this.
01:52 So Gonzaga with their first quad win.
01:55 Big opportunities coming up these next couple weeks.
