00:03 Let's move over to the running back position in the NFL and
00:06 then we'll do wide receivers as well, gentlemen.
00:09 So look, this is always the dynamic every year where the game has changed so
00:13 much that running backs are supremely hard to predict.
00:18 And we even saw this past year, it was no different.
00:21 I mean, great players taken in the first round, but bust as well.
00:24 De'Jawn Robinson turned out to be a bust, Dick Chubb got hurt.
00:27 It is the make or break part of fantasy football.
00:30 So Christian McCaffrey is gonna be the number one overall pick in every fantasy
00:34 draft, and I don't know that we are able to say that a lot in February as we look
00:39 toward August, I mean, it's a guarantee.
00:41 Brees Hall had a fantastic year, we have him at two,
00:45 De'Jawn at three, Kyron Williams at four.
00:47 And then Davis, certainly from there, things get interesting.
00:50 Jameer Gibbs, who would have predicted he would be in the top five.
00:53 Jonathan Taylor potentially maybe playing his last year in Indianapolis,
00:57 who really knows.
00:58 I know he's gotten paid, but you never really know how that's gonna work out.
01:01 Lots of variants, without a doubt, and you cannot sit here and
01:05 say beyond Brees Hall, honestly, beyond Brees Hall.
01:10 Can you guarantee that any of these running backs are worth taking in
01:13 the first round?
01:14 >> Yeah, I mean, I think the line for me is Gibbs.
01:19 I would have Gibbs ahead of Kyron.
01:21 And maybe I'll end up with nine eggs on my face at the end of this.
01:25 But I just, and we said this last week on the show,
01:28 I've done this before with Philip Lindsay, with Alfred Morris.
01:33 I mean, just name a guy, Damian Williams, right?
01:35 I mean, I've literally, Craig, I've been playing fantasy football my literal entire
01:39 adult life, and I've been the guy who's chased the Kyron Williams.
01:44 The guy who was not the guy, the guy who ended up just kind of receiving all the
01:49 volume for a team because of circumstances outside of his control.
01:53 Very rarely does that guy end up justifying his costs the next, I mean,
01:58 Kenyon Drake, Tony Pollard, by the way.
02:01 I mean, maybe not horrible comparison there.
02:04 So I think McCaffrey, Brees, Bijon, Jameer Gibbs, these guys are, to me,
02:10 that's a first round running back, right?
02:12 Those are guys who are gonna be getting 60 to 70% of their team's work.
02:16 Gibbs maybe won't get as much, but he's just gonna be so
02:19 efficient with the touches that he does get.
02:22 And then immediately after those four guys, it's like,
02:25 I'm clicking wide receivers, like Jonathan Taylor or a wide receiver.
02:28 Travis Etienne or a wide receiver.
02:29 Barkley or wide, Rashad White, you're telling me I have to take Rashad White as
02:33 the 10th running back in fantasy?
02:35 No chance, no chance am I taking Rashad White as the 10th running back in
02:39 fantasy.
02:40 Maybe that is where he deserves to be ranked, but I'm just not gonna be the guy
02:44 who is selecting him in drafts if these costs tend to stay the same.
02:48 Probably the most interesting name of these top ten running backs,
02:52 given that we have so much time before we get to know what the Dolphins are gonna
02:56 look like in 2024, it's gotta be Devon A-Chain.
03:00 Because A-Chain was so, so good when we saw him on the field.
03:05 He missed games with injury not once, but twice.
03:09 Also was injured at his time at Texas A&M.
03:11 He weighs 180 pounds.
03:12 He was a track star at Texas A&M.
03:15 Now, Devon A-Chain does not play like a scat back.
03:18 When you watch him play, he thinks he's Jonathan Taylor.
03:21 The guy thinks he's Jerome Bettis.
03:22 He's inviting contact.
03:24 He's leading with his shoulder.
03:25 He wants to play like a real NFL running back.
03:28 And if you guaranteed me 17 games of healthy,
03:32 non-encumbered production from A-Chain, I might take him ahead of Gibbs,
03:36 honestly, cuz I don't think most sort of Jeff Wilson Jr.
03:38 Is gonna be on the team or receiving the same workload.
03:41 Both of them are unrestricted free agents after the season.
03:44 I mean, he, I think, is just the biggest question mark heading into fantasy
03:48 right now.
