00:00 Travel is life!
00:01 You can reach more countries using the Philippine Passport.
00:06 How's the global ranking of the Philippine Passport?
00:10 Live from Naia, we have the first news, Niko Wahe.
00:14 Niko?
00:15 Susan, good morning.
00:20 Travel is one of the things that many Filipinos want to do.
00:23 But we are limited because of the visa requirement
00:27 depending on the country we are going to.
00:29 On the other hand, the power of the Philippine Passport has increased.
00:33 Where is the dream destination of many Filipinos?
00:39 Japan, sir.
00:40 Canada.
00:42 California.
00:43 Mali, Maldives.
00:44 All of those countries are within reach.
00:47 But there is one thing that is needed, a visa.
00:50 A Philippine Passport holder can go to 68 countries visa-free.
00:56 In fact, the Philippines has already reached the global passport ranking
01:00 made by a Citizenship and Residence Advisory Firm.
01:04 Now in 2024, the Philippines will have 78 countries in the world
01:08 that can visit other countries without a visa.
01:12 Who doesn't want a hassle-free trip?
01:15 If Marvin were to ask,
01:17 doesn't he feel the strength of the Philippine Passport?
01:20 If we compare it to our neighboring countries,
01:24 like Singapore, which has the strongest passport,
01:28 we should leave it to ASEAN.
01:31 Singapore is the top one on the list since last year.
01:35 But this year, it is tied at first place
01:37 with France, Germany, Italy, Japan, and Spain.
01:41 "I hope all," said Rebecca, an OFW.
01:44 Many people come to me without a visa.
01:48 They only have a passport.
01:52 That's the big question for me.
01:55 We cannot enter our country without a visa.
02:01 Tristan thinks that it is also because of the track record of the Filipinos.
02:05 That's the mindset of other races.
02:08 The Filipinos only go there because they think they are hard-working.
02:13 They don't go there to be tourists.
02:17 That's why they are so stingy.
02:21 [waves crashing]
02:24 Susan, wherever you go,
02:27 whether it's far or near,
02:28 just one step, and you'll find a Filipino.
02:31 Live from Pasay City, I'm Nico Juahe for GMA Integrated News.
