Pittsburgh Steelers' defensive tackle Cameron Heyward wins the prestigious Walter Payton Man of the Year Award.
Transcript
00:00 Cam obviously wins Walter Payton Man of the Year. I think that's where we should start.
00:03 Well-deserved, was super hyped to see that one. There are few people in the city of Pittsburgh,
00:08 if anybody, who do as much for this community as Cam Hayward. And every year I write that story,
00:14 and you have to dive into everything that he's done and all the stuff that he's done
00:18 throughout the years. And every year, it just seems like it's getting bigger and bigger,
00:21 the list. And it's crazy to just look at it and to understand, this guy,
00:27 we know how much football players put into the game of football. We understand how much of a
00:31 full-time job, plus so much more that is on a regular basis, to still be able to be a dad,
00:39 be a husband, and do as much as he does in the community. Awesome. So I think that's where
00:46 we should start. Huge congrats to Cam. Very well-deserved. Yeah. And it's a little bit like
00:53 LeBron James and the MVP in the mid-2000s. That guy could have won it any year during his career.
01:01 He has been the same guy in this community for his entire career. And so the fact that he won it now
01:08 is kind of like a lifetime achievement award. It's a recognition of not necessarily anything
01:13 special or out of the ordinary that he did against his own standards for this year, but it's just
01:19 a recognition of who Cam has been over the course of his career. And it's kind of like
01:23 finally giving him the recognition that he deserves for what he's done.
