00:00 My name's Matthew Siren. I was involved in a glassing attack on Boxing Day. I was glassed
00:07 from behind, instantly blinded. I was then rushed to hospital, which I underwent five
00:14 hours of surgery to save both my eyes from bleeding and the infection, which, 30 stitches
00:21 in the right eye, 10 in the left. What really do I want from this is obviously some sort
00:27 of change to the laws. No one ever gets ID'd, which definitely should be something that
00:33 should come into play, so you instantly know that person is, where that person lives, if
00:37 anything does kick off inside. The glass to be removed from 9pm, just to serve plastic,
00:45 just to prevent this from happening to anyone else. Over 87,000 people a year get glassed.
00:52 It's costing the country billions.
