00:00 We're in Storr, just outside the relief centre and this is where many dozens of Pomona residents
00:08 who have been affected by this bushfire on Tuesday have been coming and receiving support,
00:14 many who have been left homeless.
00:15 Today we have received and updated a revised figure of the number of properties that have
00:20 been lost in the small community on the eastern edge of the Grampians National Park.
00:25 It has been announced that 44 properties have been destroyed, that includes more homes and
00:31 more sheds and outbuildings after assessment by the CFA.
00:35 That is up from around 24 that was announced in the previous days.
00:40 There is some good news though, these two fires that have been burning in the Grampians
00:44 National Park, one that affected Dadswells Bridge and the one in Pomona, they're now
00:48 at advice levels.
00:49 There is still some firefighting that's going on in the sort of hard to reach places in
00:54 the Grampians National Park but largely this has now in Western Victoria moved to a recovery
01:00 phase.
01:01 There is help available to people, there are immediate personal hardship grants that the
01:06 state government has made available.
01:08 People are being urged to call a recovery hotline as well where they will get information
01:13 around what support is available and we're also told the state government is speaking
01:18 and working with the federal government around further financial assistance which is yet
01:23 to be announced.
