A company director has been remanded over suspicions of giving a RM13,000 bribe to an engineer in return for contracts with a department in Penang.

The suspect, who is in his 50s, was arrested by the Penang Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission officials at 3am on Friday (Feb 16) to assist in investigations.

The engineer in question has also been remanded, over claims of accepting bribes from a contractor sometime in 2022.
