00:00 In other news, China has removed the floating barriers that were placed by their coast guard in Bajo de Macinloc, according to the Philippine Coast Guard.
00:08 But they have another threat in the territory they are fighting.
00:12 That's what Joseph Moro is talking about.
00:14 The floating barrier that China Coast Guard placed in Bajo de Macinloc, or Scarborough Shoal on Thursday,
00:24 can be seen in satellite images from the Philippine Coast Guard.
00:28 In another picture, it can be seen inside the lagoon of the China Coast Guard,
00:32 and the floating barrier was placed there.
00:35 The so-called barrier was there when the supply of its supply was split on Thursday.
00:39 BRP Datu Tumlot, the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources of BFAR,
00:43 told the Filipino fishermen there.
00:46 Based on the satellite images that we have been monitoring,
00:51 they are anticipating that the Philippine government vessels will attempt to enter the lagoon in Bajo de Macinloc.
00:59 Last September, China also placed a floating barrier there that was cut by the PCG.
01:05 But the Coast Guard spokesperson for the West Philippine Sea, Commodore J. Tariella, said
01:10 that the floating barrier was removed by China after the mission of BRP Datu Tumlot.
01:16 But it is up to China to do what it is doing in Bajo de Macinloc,
01:20 which is inside the exclusive economic zone of the Philippines.
01:35 China's not only blocking the Filipino fishermen from entering Bajo de Macinloc.
01:40 BFAR said that based on the story of some fishermen,
01:44 the Chinese and Vietnamese fishermen are doing cyanide fishing there.
01:48 But the Coast Guard said...
01:51 We don't have any scientific study or any evidences that would suggest that the cyanide fishing in Bajo de Macinloc
02:00 can be attributed to the Chinese or even Vietnamese fishermen.
02:05 BFAR said it would be better if there will be regular patrolling of the PCG and BFAR there,
02:10 to make sure that this is really happening.
02:13 We will see more evidence that the Chinese fishermen are doing this and apparently other foreign fishers.
02:29 The GMA Integrated News is still trying to get the reaction of the embassies of China and Vietnam
02:35 on the issue of cyanide fishing in Bajo de Macinloc.
02:38 In Yungin Shoal and Recto Bank in Calayaan, Palawan,
02:42 according to a reliable source of GMA Integrated News,
02:45 the maritime patrol successfully captured the BRP Cabra and BRP Sindangan on February 16 and 17
02:52 without the Chinese Coast Guard's intervention.
02:55 For GMA Integrated News, Joseph Morong, for 24 Hours.
