00:30 captain a new look side and they are up against Babur Azam side who've done well
00:35 in the playoffs but generally haven't made it to the finals in the last

00:49 You seem to have a busy season all together but this season is going to get really busy now
00:54 right now as well because you've got Quetta a side that's had it tough in the
00:59 last few years but now they've got a new captain in the form of Riley Russo what
01:04 do you make of their chances? Look PSL always brings you know smile on our
01:10 faces and I think I think this year it's not it's not gonna be any different
01:15 it's we're gonna have really good cricket and and the teams are really good
01:18 I've just been looking at the team they're very very balanced they have got
01:21 all bases covered and and Quetta I mean they're a wonderful side they've got
01:25 some really big hitters in the side and they've made changes in the in the
01:29 captaincy also which I think was required I'm not taking anything away
01:33 from Sir Fraz because he has led the team for good eight years and and he's
01:38 done extremely good job but I think change is always good and bringing a new
01:43 captain into the side I think will make a big difference.
01:46 Peshawar Zelmi you know they've always been mentored by Darren Sammy he's been
01:51 part of that camp very much in different capacities different roles
01:55 Barbarossum is leading the side overall you've got some other stars like Saima
01:59 you who did really well in the CPL so just your initial thoughts when you look
02:03 at that team you know what do you make of it? Well it's kind of a typical
02:07 Darren Sammy framework where he likes a lot of power hitting in the West Indies
02:12 lineup where he's white ball coach now and he's got that anchor in Barbarossum
02:16 at the top with Harris and Saima who can go and particularly I can play
02:21 flexible roles Ruffman Powell coming down in the middle there another power
02:25 hitter so a lot of depth in their power hitting the only concern that I would
02:29 have is maybe the international fast bowling or the fast bowling in general
02:34 maybe lacks a little bit of that edge that that real star quality but they may
02:40 be competent. They may be competent they've Peshawar Zelmi won the toss
02:44 earlier on in case you guys have tuned in just now and they decided to feel
02:48 first rather murky conditions here we did hear from the captain talking about
02:53 the fact that just because if it's a bit overcast Vakar they've decided to bowl
02:58 first otherwise you know what the numbers say when it comes to these
03:01 conditions in Lahore. Yeah it's an afternoon game so don't forget that the
03:06 pitch is not gonna change much yes overcast condition might come into play
03:10 early on especially fresh pitch and you might see a little bit of sea movement
03:14 and I think Barbarossum wants to take that edge wants to take that advantage
03:18 of new ball and if they can pick up early wickets that will really help but
03:21 overall I think looking at the surface and looking at the condition it's gonna
03:25 be a cracker of a game. Well Coira Gladiators will be batting first today
03:30 and like we spoke about you know they've got a new team all together a new
03:33 captain initial thoughts Vakar on Coira Gladiators? Look I think the top six are
03:39 amazing I'm hearing a lot of good things about Khawaja Nafae I mean we all know
03:44 Jason Rowe how destructive he can be and then Saud Shaquille he's another one
03:50 gonna be playing for the first time so that I'm really excited and I'm really
03:53 hoping that he should do well Riley Rousseau the captain a match match
03:57 winner himself Sir Frazz not the captain but I'm sure he's gonna help Riley
04:02 Rousseau in the in the process and then they've got a very very strong
04:06 bowling lineup Mohammed Aamer, Hussain Junior, Husnain and I'm so
04:11 impressed by Aqeel Hussain just from the ILT 20 just now that I've just come
04:17 come back from and he was a genuine match winner you give him a new ball or
04:22 an old ball he's equally good. All right Peshawar Zalmi and Bish how are they
04:27 looking overall as a side? Again I like that batting I like Saeed Saeed in my
04:31 you'll be split international cricket now he was very good in the Caribbean
04:34 last year Babar Azam will have found another new lease of life he was a very
04:39 good last season as he has been for a while now and then Robman Powell Asif
04:43 Ali has moved across from Islamabad United but then you come to bat bowling
04:48 which has to try to make a name for itself with Mohammed Zeeshan the giant
04:52 of a kid and Salman Urshad we saw in the Caribbean last year as well with Luke
04:56 Wood coming in so I particularly like the batting but I don't want to exclude
05:01 the bowlers. Right and you look at Coita Gladiators Mohamed Amir receiving his
05:06 cap in this grand fashion Waqar I mean we've seen him in Karachi Kings always I
05:11 know it's the first time we'll be seeing him play for Coita Gladiators. Yeah he's
05:14 moved from Karachi after after you know long long time and I think as I said
05:20 earlier change change is always good and you can clearly see on his face that he's
05:24 happy to be coming to coming to the to the to the Zalmis or to the Coita
05:29 Gladiators and and I'm sure he's gonna do well I mean he's a match winner
05:33 himself swings the ball early on and if he gets going you know the team can
05:37 teams can be trouble not only this time but the other teams can will be really
05:41 looking at him. It's been tough for somebody like Sir Fraz Ahmed Bish just
05:45 in terms of the fact that when you have a team that hasn't done well hasn't
05:49 really managed to make it to the playoffs I'm sure his confidence must be
05:53 affected by the fact that he's been sort of let go of the captaincy relieved of
05:57 the captaincy where does his future stand in your opinion Bish? Well those
06:03 things can have two impacts is obviously and captaincy is a an ego thing as much
06:07 as it is a leadership thing right so it can be an initial shock there are some
06:11 guys who sort of wither after that has happened but then there are some guys
06:14 who say I feel liberated now I don't have to lead this team all my energies
06:19 can go into my batting and my wicket keeping so we'll find out in time how
