00:00 Can I just say congratulations for being in the film of the year for me.
00:03 Thank you.
00:04 Absolutely incredible.
00:05 Oh wow.
00:05 And also, I love the fact that you're a fan of Dustin Hoffman. So am I.
00:08 Oh, amazing.
00:09 How was it, like, rubbing shoulders with legends?
00:13 I mean, in the moment you're just trying to pretend like it's normal, but then bathroom
00:19 breaks. Those are when you can look in the mirror and be like...
00:23 I told Dustin that the best film of all time was Hook, and he said, 'I wasn't a graduate.'
00:28 Oh yeah, that one.
00:29 Well, Dustin Hoffman is in the holdovers for a brief moment, so I always tell people, 'Actually,
00:35 I acted opposite Dustin Hoffman for two seconds.'
00:38 Was this the aim when you went to college? And, you know, was this what you wanted to do?
00:42 I mean, yeah. I think before I did the movie and was acting in high school, I knew it was
00:47 always like a dream of mine, hype dream. Like, you know, something that you'd fantasise about
00:52 but never really envisioned if it could or would work out in any way. So to get something
00:59 like this and do something like this and have it be recognised like this, it's amazing.
01:03 And yeah, I guess it just gives me that confidence that maybe this is something I could keep
01:07 doing and be successful at.
01:09 And I hear that you kept it a secret about being in this film.
01:12 Well, I mean, I went to drama school for a year and just found it maybe better to maintain
01:18 a certain degree of anonymity in that setting. But yeah, the trailer came out and everybody
01:25 saw it and all my friends were super stoked. Surprised, obviously, but just amazing, really.
01:31 And let's talk about the fact that you are in this BAFTA, Oscar. It's an unbelievable
01:35 role as well. What did he teach you?
01:38 I honestly, he just trusted me and I think when people ask me about working with Paul
01:45 Devine as well, they always are curious how difficult it was, but I really want to stress
01:50 how easy they made it because they're so good and they're so talented. You believe everything
01:56 they say. They believe every look they give you and for me, as an unexperienced actor,
02:00 it's everything, really.
02:01 And the eyes got me every time I watched this movie. Were you not sure where to look as
02:06 well?
02:07 No, I mean, they always- Because they're switches, you know what I mean? They're screwing with
02:10 you. That was, yeah, the funniest thing. Paul trying to like- Yeah, but it was amazing.
02:16 And just finally, who are you looking forward to seeing tonight? Anyone you're going to
02:18 colour and have a little word with?
02:19 I don't know. I keep saying Bradley Cooper would be cool to meet. I'm a big fan of his.
02:25 I love his movies. I think he's a great actor.
02:27 And we love your clothes, by the way. Please keep doing them with you because it's absolutely
02:30 amazing. Saturday Night Fever and some. Loving it.
02:32 Thanks so much.
02:33 Thank you so much for coming out.
02:34 Thanks. Great to meet you.
