00:00 Taylor Swift is showing her support for a grieving community.
00:04 The Blank Space singer has made a $100,000 donation to the loved ones of Lisa Lopez Galvan,
00:10 the 43-year-old DJ killed during a mass shooting at the Kansas City Chiefs' Super Bowl Day
00:16 parade on February 14, a source close to the situation confirms to E! News.
00:22 Although Taylor Swift wasn't at the parade, as she's currently in Australia continuing
00:26 her international leg of the Ares Tour, the Grammy winner has a close connection to the
00:31 community now that she's dating Chiefs tight end Travis Kelsey.
00:35 So when a GoFundMe page was set up by Lisa's family, Taylor stepped in to help.
00:40 Alongside her donation, Taylor writes, "Sending my deepest sympathies and condolences in the
00:45 wake of your devastating loss."
00:47 A number of Kansas City Chiefs players have also spoken out about the tragic incident,
00:52 which resulted in 21 people injured, 11 of whom were children between the ages of 6 and
00:57 15.
00:58 Travis Kelsey writes on ex-formerly Twitter, "I am heartbroken over the tragedy that took
01:03 place today.
01:04 My heart is with all who came out to celebrate with us and have been affected.
01:07 KC, you mean the world to me."
01:09 The team has also shared a message of support to its community, writing in a statement,
01:13 "We are truly saddened by the senseless act of violence that occurred outside of Union
01:18 Station at the conclusion of today's parade and rally.
01:22 Our hearts go out to the victims, their families, and all of Kansas City."
01:25 The GoFundMe page created by Lisa's family originally had a goal of $75,000, but now
01:31 the page has currently raised over $200,000.
01:35 Lisa's loved one says, "She was an amazing mother, wife, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin,
01:40 and friend to so many.
01:42 We ask that you continue to keep her family in your prayers as we grieve the loss of her
01:46 life."
01:47 In the shooting, Kansas City Police Department detained three individuals, one of whom has
01:51 since been released per CBS.
01:53 The remaining two are juveniles whose identities have not been made public.
01:57 During a public media update on February 15, Police Chief Stacey Graves confirmed that
02:02 law enforcement believes the shooting originated from a dispute rather than an act of planned
02:07 violence or terrorism, adding, "We are still learning about her, but know that she is beloved
02:12 by many.
02:13 To her friends and family, we are with you, and we are working tirelessly to investigate
02:17 her murder."
02:18 The shooting was reported on Thursday, February 15.
