The Lenovo ThinkBook 13x Gen 4 is a sleek and powerful 2.2-pound laptop that packs Intel Core Ultra 9 power and a vibrant 13.5-inch display with a 97% screen-to-body ratio. But what makes this system stand out is its support for Magic Bay accessories that attach magnetically via pogo pins. This includes a Magic Bay Studio 4K camera with dual speakers. And Lenovo lets us go hands on with a bunch of other prototypes, including a Magic Bay SSD, a mini fan, LED light bar, and even a second 10.1-inch display.

00:00 I think a lot of us like the idea of a transformer or laptop and Lenovo is
00:04 bringing that to life here at CES 2024 with the ThinkBook 13X which will be
00:09 available in Q1 starting at $1399. What makes this different is the Magic Bay
00:14 accessories. So they're gonna start with the Magic Bay Studio. So what you get
00:18 here is a 4k camera that attaches magnetically to the back of the laptop
00:22 and not only do you get a much more high-powered camera you also get a
00:25 studio quality mic and two additional speakers so if you're doing a lot of
00:30 video calls you're definitely gonna like it this accessory. It's not cheap at $199
00:34 but Lenovo is opening a whole world of possibilities with some of the concepts
00:38 that they're showing off here. That includes a fan that you can use to
00:41 attach to the top, an ambient light, an additional SSD, storage, a card reader and
00:47 even a mirror with a built-in light. So the possibilities are endless in terms
00:51 of what the Magic Bay could do but we'll have to see how well they work once they
00:55 come to market. So how is this thing as a laptop? You're getting up to core ultra
00:59 9 processors, 32 gigs of RAM and up to 2 terabytes of storage. The ports are a
01:04 little bit on the skimpy side you can see here you have a couple of thunderbolt
01:07 ports and another one on this side and a headphone jack but that's to be expected
01:13 given that this whole thing weighs just 2.2 pounds and that's my only concern is
01:17 that with the 74 watt hour battery how long is this thing gonna last on a
01:21 charge but again we're gonna have to get in for testing to find out. This is Mark
