00:00 >> Alex Bowman completes the Hendrick 1.2 finish in the Daytona 500.
00:05 You came really close, Alex.
00:06 How close was that from your perspective as you crossed the line?
00:10 >> I was pretty sure William had us.
00:12 But you're going to let him debate it, right?
00:14 I think a couple hundred more feet and obviously we had the run.
00:17 But just so proud of everybody at Hendrick motorsports.
00:19 It's 40 years to the day since they ran their first race.
00:23 So to get a Hendrick motorsports 1.2, have the 24 car in victory lane, obviously I wish
00:29 it was our ally 48.
00:30 But it was a great day for us.
00:32 So proud of everybody.
00:33 We did everything we could right.
00:35 I feel like I made a couple mistakes early and kind of learned throughout the day.
00:39 And when it came down to the end, I feel like I made the right moves.
00:42 Having to go up and block the top lane at the end with like three to go there, that
00:46 just slowed us down and kind of killed the momentum of the middle.
00:49 But still second place in the Daytona 500.
00:52 HMS 1.2.
00:54 Great for Chevrolet and everybody involved.
00:55 So wish it was one spot better but still proud of the whole team.
