00:03 - Then of course, Dan Hurley had a little something
00:06 to say afterwards about his number one team
00:10 that just got absolutely demolished in Omaha.
00:14 Here's what he had to say.
00:16 - Yeah, we did a bad job coaching tonight.
00:18 We did, our players did a bad job playing.
00:20 I did a bad job coaching.
00:22 Yeah, and your huddles aren't gonna be, you know,
00:26 super energized when you're in, you haven't lost
00:30 in two plus months and, you know,
00:34 this doesn't happen to us very often.
00:36 So yeah, I mean, we were, you know,
00:37 we were definitely stunned.
00:39 This wasn't the game we expected.
00:41 We knew this was a dangerous game and a quality opponent
00:44 and one of the better teams in the country,
00:47 but we didn't expect this to happen.
00:50 - Not great, certainly did, JoJo,
00:54 because it was a mauling from the opening tip
00:57 in that one last night.
00:59 - It was, and you know, we talked about it yesterday
01:02 on the show in regards to Creighton.
01:04 The first time that they played, they scored 48 points,
01:07 Joe, and they shot, I believe, two with 17
01:09 from three point lane.
01:11 You knew that wasn't gonna happen last night, right?
01:13 They would progress a little bit more.
01:15 Maybe they would shoot 30%.
01:17 They came out firing on all cylinders.
01:20 They were prepared.
01:21 They were playing at home and their team total was 71
01:24 and a half, they blew right through that.
01:26 So again, you know, sometimes if you're UConn
01:29 or you're a top five team,
01:30 you actually wanna lose in mid-February to late February
01:34 to get, you know, your season back on track,
01:37 remain motivated for the conference tournaments
01:39 and more importantly, March Madness.
01:41 So this might actually benefit UConn,
01:44 but credit Creighton for stepping up
01:46 and just dominating that ball game from start to finish.
