00:00 I've always said and I continue to maintain people in Bathurst and Orange and the entire

00:19 Central West all deserve a brilliant train service.

00:23 What I would say is that prior to the last state election as the former minister we started

00:28 work in my office to look to expand the Bathurst Bullit offering from Orange but it was not

00:35 to come at any disadvantage to Bathurst.

00:38 The way that we were looking to do this is to change the operating structure where these

00:43 trains could be stabled in Bathurst and Orange rather than having to run these Endeavour

00:49 trains back to Lithgow every night.

00:52 The reality is that people in Bathurst and Orange deserve better rail services.

00:57 It's something I was passionate about and I continue to have that passion.

01:00 The way moving forward is that one Bullit should be stabled in Bathurst overnight and

01:06 should kick off on the first early service.

01:09 The second Bullit should be stabled here in Orange overnight.

01:13 That would give people in Orange the ability to have a better direct train service from

01:18 the Central West but it would also not come at the disadvantage of Bathurst where that

01:24 second service leaving Orange around 6am would still go through Bathurst at around 7.30 in

01:33 the morning allowing people in Bathurst the second Bullit service.

01:37 So they're not disadvantaged.

01:39 I'm sure with Orange becoming a significant destination along with Bathurst within this

01:45 great region people will use this service and my view is the seats on those two services

01:51 should be first and foremost for people in the Central West.

01:54 Getting on those trains here in Bathurst and Orange not in the Blue Mountains.

01:59 So I want people in Bathurst and Orange to have first crack at those seats and I think

02:03 if we can expand these rail services it only enhances our region and the transport offering.
