After entering the abyss game without warning in order to escape being sold into slavery, Qiao Jingting teams up with the resentful veteran player Shu Ai and the enigmatic young Bai Er to oppose the villainous dictator Han Bin and his group, Heart Moon Fox. Just when they think they are going to win a life-or-death battle, they find they have fallen into Han Bin's trap and are in a dangerous situation. What's even more terrifying is how rapidly the three's trust crumbles as a result of this failure. At a crucial juncture, the exceptionally skilled and rugged Zou Yidao shows up, shifting the balance of power across the novice village and giving Qiao Jingting and his friends a glimmer of hope for escape. Regretfully, the group quickly discovers that Zou Yidao, who was able to get out of the situation, appears to be more concerned with his personal objectives than with good and evil in comparison to Han Bin. Furthermore, it appears that he and Han Bin had struck some sort of "deal" at this time. As their sadness grows, Qiao Jingting and his friends become acutely aware of the genuine nature that lies beneath Zou Yidao's outwardly "playful" demeanor, which allows them to discern the incompatible differences between Han Bin and Zou Yidao. They take advantage of the situation, join forces with Zou Yidao, and vanquish Han Bin. But what Qiao Jingting and the others didn't anticipate is that, as they prepare to leave the novice village and demonstrate their skills, they come across a number of external threats that are far more dangerous than those that the once-powerful Han Bin brought with him, creating an unknowable number of huge crises.
