00:05 The LA Clippers on the road in Oklahoma City taking on the Thunder.
00:10 A very short number, a one point spread in favor of OKC at home.
00:15 Closing money line, Donnie, minus 118 for the Thunder,
00:18 even money plus 100 for the Clips.
00:21 And Oklahoma City makes a statement,
00:24 129-107, the victory over Los Angeles at home last night.
00:29 >> Yeah, it was a great win there for OKC.
00:31 And also when you're taking a look at, we've even had the conversations, right?
00:35 How are these teams that we aren't expected to win a national,
00:38 should I say a NBA championship, going to perform?
00:40 >> Yeah. >> Because now the pressure starts to
00:41 ramp up, and I think we can also agree.
00:43 A lot of times you look at the NBA season, hey, it just starts here.
00:46 The unofficial start is always like to call Christmas Day.
00:49 Then you get into the doldrums of January and February.
00:52 But then you get in post all star break where the veteran teams lock in.
00:56 You have that seven day break, you come back from the start of the second half of
00:58 the season, as we like to call it.
01:00 And it's no longer a marathon season, Ben.
01:02 It turns into a sprint.
01:03 And how would the real teams, quote unquote, that we talk about,
01:06 the Clippers being so talented, veteran-related,
01:09 with a guy in Kawhi Leonard who's won a championship before,
01:11 gonna hold up against teams like OKC, who maybe we think are just happy to be in it
01:15 and lets you see what happens the rest of the way.
01:17 It's gonna be one of those performances, Ben,
01:19 that we saw 129-107 as a win by the Clippers going, yep, this is what we expected.
01:24 The big three's gonna show up playing great basketball, boy, oh, boy.
01:27 They're gonna be hell on wheels come playoff time.
01:29 That was an awesome win for OKC last night,
01:31 easily beating the Los Angeles Clippers with a big second half.
01:35 And again, your superstar player, SGA,
01:37 outdueling their superstar players here on the Clippers.
01:40 Loved what I saw from OKC, a true contender, Ben, in the Western Conference.
01:45 >> A plus money for SGA, by the way, of plus 21, the best in the starting lineup.
01:50 All five starters for Oklahoma City, scoring in double figures.
01:54 And keep an eye on Jaylen Williams,
01:56 the second-year player for Oklahoma City, 18 points, six dimes, four boards.
02:02 He is doing everything necessary for OKC to be that true contender.
02:06 Now 38-17, just a game back of the Minnesota Timberwolves,
02:11 who start their home stretch tonight at home
02:14 as a four-point favorite against the Milwaukee Bucks.
02:17 Oklahoma City, by the way, again, just a one-point spread last night at home,
02:21 the Thunder, the best cover team in the NBA.
02:23 Now 34-20-1 against the spread Oklahoma City and Orlando,
02:29 the only two teams covering in more than 60% of their games.
