00:03 >> You know what else I loved what I saw last night?
00:04 The Dallas Mavericks at home picking up a 10 point victory over the Phoenix Suns.
00:08 Two things for me in this game, JY.
00:10 Obviously, we know the star power, when healthy here for
00:12 the Mavericks, is really, really good.
00:14 Kyrie was sensational along with Donchuk yesterday,
00:16 was thoroughly impressed by them.
00:18 But the Phoenix Suns, the questions that keep coming up for me, Coach, are, look,
00:22 we're gonna wait till the playoffs.
00:24 Hopefully they're healthy.
00:25 They weren't healthy in the big three last night and they lost.
00:27 What can you give me as something to look forward to for
00:30 the Phoenix Suns the rest of the way?
00:31 Will they be healthy and can we trust them, Coach?
00:34 >> I don't know.
00:37 I really don't know because you come out of the also break and
00:41 Beals out, this team, it's hard for you to sit here now and
00:47 I know although I love Phoenix, I think they can do it.
00:50 They are so close to being in this playing tournament.
00:53 And I just think, I know you talked about it last week, I heard you.
00:56 Like, you don't want a part of the playing tournament.
00:59 As a coach, one or two bad games and you're knocked out.
01:02 I don't want that.
01:03 I want the seven game series.
01:05 I don't want to have to work and worry about it.
01:07 So to me, the problem you have with Phoenix is, I know Eric Gordon gave you 16.
01:12 But you have literally a top loaded roster, right?
01:17 You have three guys that have to do a majority of the bulk of the lifting and
01:21 you don't have the depth.
01:22 I know they got Royce O'Neal, right?
01:24 I know they got David Roddy at the deadline.
01:26 I get it, I know.
01:27 But I don't know if this team could actually pull it together.
01:31 They have a lot of Brooklyn Nets in them.
01:35 With a big three that have not been together enough and
01:38 can they turn it on when it counts?
01:40 Remember when it got to the playoffs, folks?
01:42 What happened with the Nets?
01:43 They weren't healthy.
01:45 This is something that's going to continue to be a problem with Phoenix the rest of
01:49 the way, the problems will not go away and you have to wonder, folks,
01:54 also, who is their stopper?
01:58 Look at that starting lineup, right?
01:59 I know Grayson Allen is an underrated defender.
02:02 But they don't have a perimeter guy like a Drew Holliday, a Marcus Smart,
02:07 a top perimeter guy, OJ Nwobi, to go say, go lock that guy down.
02:12 They don't have it.
02:13 So when the game's come down the stretch, other teams are going to be able to score
02:16 on them because they don't have a guy that could stop someone.
02:21 >> And no Bradley Beal last night for the Phoenix Suns in the first game out of
02:25 the All-Star break.
02:26 The loss for Phoenix, 33 and 23.
02:29 The win for Dallas, make that seven straight, also 33 and 23.
02:33 The Mavs move up to the sixth seed.
02:35 Phoenix falls into that seven spot, which would be inside the play-in tournament,
02:40 out west if the season ended today.
02:42 (upbeat music)
02:45 (bells chiming)
