00:40 Greetings grapple fans and welcome back to Kent Pro Wrestling.
00:43 I'm Clark Andrews.
00:45 [Applause]
00:47 Thank you, thank you.
00:49 And I'm Rob Ringside.
00:51 It's still okay Rob.
00:53 It's fine.
00:55 Our grappling action today comes from the Raynham Rampage event at the Lee Academy in Raynham, Kent.
01:00 That's right Rob Ringside and our main event this evening is the suplex merchant,
01:05 Alf Edwards taking on the kid without fear, Danny Black.
01:10 An aspiring inter-regional champion, a former inter-regional champion.
01:14 I can't wait for that one.
01:16 Neither can I Rob.
01:17 But first we have Smart Money, Dow Jones and Fentos taking on the two man day trip, Prince Dean and Cody.
01:25 The winner of this one would no doubt be in line for tag team glory.
01:29 To Ringside.
01:31 The other one.
01:33 [Music]
01:43 Woo hoo.
01:45 First, coming down the aisle from South London, weighing in at 12 stone 12 pounds,
01:54 this is Cody Salihou.
02:00 I dare you to try and spell that surname.
02:02 I mean I've got it written down for me, it helps a lot.
02:05 Grapple fans welcome back to Raynham Rampage.
02:07 Rob Wade on commentary joined by the Queen of Planet fan at Wendy Louise and the inimitable Buff Broadside.
02:12 Inimitable, I'm not trying to spell that either.
02:15 It means often imitated, never duplicated.
02:19 And here we go, here is day one of the two man day trip.
02:22 Absolutely, this is Cody Salihou and we're about to be joined by his tag team partner.
02:27 And partner.
02:29 And royalty.
02:30 So I keep hearing.
02:33 I have lots of questions about it but.
02:35 [Music]
02:44 Here we go on the two man day trip with them.
02:46 [Music]
03:14 And there he is, the man who's.
03:16 [Music]
03:22 There we go, interrupted the OG.
03:24 But yes, here is the man who's dress style is only rivaled by my own.
03:30 Very need fans, the crowd, the bubbles are just.
03:34 Bubble machine V2 is something to behold Buff Broadside.
03:37 It gets me excited.
03:39 [Music]
03:45 I would be so embarrassed if I was Cody and that was my dad.
03:48 [Music]
03:51 And did you see that.
03:53 We'll have to go for a trip to Margate one day.
03:55 Because that's my normal dress.
03:57 [Music]
04:00 I don't know how to dance, I love this music.
04:02 But I just can't stand these guys.
04:05 [Music]
04:33 Zina, I don't know if you know this.
04:35 But Dale Jones owns a lot of chocolate factories.
04:39 I believe it, I believe it.
04:41 And Fentos is an accountant.
04:43 Yes, that sounds right to me.
04:45 That's the fact I've got it written down for you.
04:47 Quite something to see Smart Money reunited here on Rain and Rampage.
04:52 Last time we saw them as a tag team was quite some time ago.
04:57 Yes, Prince Dean has goaded Smart Money into this match over the last few months.
05:02 And I think two man day trip needs to be careful what they wish for.
05:06 Absolutely, Smart Money of course years of experience.
05:09 Huge amounts of success both as individuals and as a team.
05:13 Dale Jones has done everything here at UKPW including winning a Rampage match.
05:19 Very true.
05:20 Fentos is only a little bit behind him having been a former inter-regional,
05:24 former tag team champion and legitimate genius.
05:29 No argument with that.
05:30 Fentos defeated him last year at this event to take the last spot in the Rampage match.
05:37 And this crowd letting Smart Money know exactly what they think of him.
05:44 There you go.
05:50 See, and even the crowd at Rain and Rampage know Dale Jones' chocolate prowess.
05:54 He's successful in business, it's only fair to ask what kind.
05:59 I mean he looks like he's been off the chocolate bars recently, he's lost a bit of weight.
06:03 Yeah, all four competitors in this match looking in great shape today.
06:07 It's going to be a heck of a contest.
06:08 I'll let you know once Fentos has taken his robe off.
06:11 Oh, you can just tell.
06:12 I can, yeah.
06:14 I need to start wearing loose clothes then.
06:26 He's been trying to do the Dale Jones for 16 years, has the Willy Wonka charm.
06:33 I have wrestled Dale Jones no less than 14 times over seven different companies and four different counties.
06:40 And we're underway.
06:41 And every single audience knows that he owns a chocolate factory.
06:46 And choosing to start proceedings with Fentos, his tag team partner in the ring.
06:55 And that just gives you just how big Fentos is with ease stepping over the top rope.
07:00 Something that's not said enough about Fentos is an impressive physical specimen.
07:04 Standing at 6 feet 7 inches.
07:08 And the rest.
07:10 So does being taller make it easier to get eliminated from a Rampage match?
07:14 It certainly doesn't help your sense of gravity in certain circumstances.
07:18 So if one or more of these two makes their way into the Rampage match, they would do well to bear that in mind.
07:24 There we go.
07:25 Starting with a headlock.
07:27 Look at the power.
07:30 And then you've got Fentos showing the strength and prowess.
07:44 Oh, Prince Dean just leaves nothing.
07:46 In all fairness, that was going to be the only way he was going to reach his head.
07:50 That's very true.
07:52 Whips Prince Dean off the ropes.
07:54 Huge shoulder block from Fentos.
07:59 And look at that. Again, that power.
08:01 Not a little man.
08:05 That move seemed very much like one of the Newton's Friedels.
08:08 You know how the balls smack each other off its travel in that little chain?
08:11 Prince Dean just dodges through Fentos' attempt to get hold of him.
08:15 A test of strength.
08:17 Prince Dean just all over.
08:21 Using that speed advantage to just attempt to bamboozle Fentos and rolls him through.
08:29 And a two count from Prince Dean, almost ending this contest early.
08:33 Unpredictability here as Prince Dean will throw Fentos right off.
08:44 Until Fentos, he is a genius.
08:46 Yeah, but used to stats which are predictable, not the unpredictability of Prince Dean.
08:51 Well, the data is in and that didn't go well for Prince Dean.
08:53 Dow Jones looking to cover Prince Dean, but not the legal man in this contest.
09:14 I mean, I think it's safe to say that...
09:18 Is this some ring rust from Dow Jones here?
09:20 Forgetting that he needs to be the legal man to perform the pin.
09:23 Perhaps Dow Jones just had enough of Dean's...
09:27 Once again, just the power of Fentos.
09:31 Oh! And a bulldog, there we go.
09:33 Prince Dean just turning into a bulldog.
09:35 Fentos is rocked by that.
09:37 Prince Dean getting the best of Fentos early on.
09:41 Both just retreating to their respective corners to compose themselves.
09:46 Oh, Cody tags himself in, here we go.
09:48 And so does Dow Jones.
09:50 Dow Jones just tags in.
09:51 Change of the guard.
09:52 Away we go.
09:53 And we have Cody and Dow Jones just facing off.
09:57 I do believe the two man day trip are having fun here with smart money.
10:02 Well, they've come all this way.
10:03 Of course.
10:04 There's nothing like the parks unknown of South London to travel all the way out to Kent.
10:11 Shut your fights!
10:13 And Medway of course, the parks unknown of Kent.
10:15 So here we... I mean, in truth this tag team match is a battle.
10:26 Oh! Hard.
10:29 Oh! Goes for the chop but nobody home.
10:34 Oh! And a huge chop from Cody.
10:37 And another.
10:39 And three huge chops.
10:41 That's a big dinner.
10:43 That's it, yes.
10:45 Just wrenches the arm of Dow Jones.
10:47 Now Cody might be fairly new here in UKPW still but he has had a championship match.
10:52 That's very true.
10:53 He's had a chance to show himself.
10:55 Oh, it's Cody Salahou taking Alexander Roth on in what was an absolute banger of a match.
11:03 So he definitely knows his way around the squared circle.
11:07 Cody looking to work the arm of Dow Jones here.
11:09 Oh, rolling through.
11:12 Very initiative there, David.
11:14 That's easy for you to say, Wendy.
11:16 Innovative.
11:19 That's the one.
11:20 That's the one I was going for.
11:21 It's alright. And it came from me as well, that's a surprise.
11:24 That's Wendy there trying to innovate some new words of her own.
11:27 I'm the queen, I can spy all over the world.
11:29 That's very true. And Fanta's tag's in.
11:31 I mean, we could try this one. We're going to see a lot of contestinal fortitude.
11:35 How's that one? That's a good one.
11:36 Big dropkick.
11:37 One of my favourites.
11:38 From Cody.
11:39 And in the chest as well. That's a long way up to get.
11:42 Absolutely.
11:43 Just into that turnbuckle, just keeping Fentos there.
11:46 Just clothesline after clothesline.
11:48 Oh, huge boot from Fentos.
11:54 Biggest boot in UKPW.
12:03 Biggest boot in UKPW.
12:05 Could be.
12:06 This is a long way down.
12:08 Oh, heavens.
12:10 See the pain on Cody's face from that.
12:13 Absolutely.
12:14 And Fentos smartly going for the cover.
12:16 And a two.
12:17 And also making sure that Tristan was ready to count.
12:19 Absolutely.
12:20 That body slam, that body slam was like skydiving without a parachute.
12:32 Fentos just working the arm of Cody there.
12:34 But referee just checking in on Dale Jones.
12:38 Nevertheless, in the ring.
12:43 Huge clothesline from Fentos.
12:45 Just venomous.
12:48 Oh, and takes the opportunity to antagonize Prince Dean.
12:52 See Fentos using his genius there.
13:00 You might not like the tactics, but...
13:03 Cody was in the wrong place at the wrong time.
13:11 Absolutely, that throat just caught across that middle rope.
13:14 Dale Jones slowly making his way back up onto the apron there.
13:17 Absolutely.
13:18 And slowly indeed.
13:20 He'll come off worse than the exchange earlier in the contest.
13:28 And Dale Jones makes the tag.
13:30 And they're just very smart, hence the name, to isolate Cody from his corner.
13:35 Stopping Prince Dean from making the tag as the fresher man.
13:40 Oh, here we go.
13:41 Dale Jones looking to hit.
13:43 Oh, huge slam.
13:45 And a two count almost ended that contest.
13:49 Yeah, but Cody looks a bit like Magikarp after that kick out.
13:52 Unpack that one for me, please.
13:55 Pokemon, you know, he doesn't even wear a fish.
13:57 Pokemon, I understand is...
13:59 He flipped out of it, he didn't kick out nicely.
14:01 I see, okay.
14:02 As long as he doesn't attempt a new splash, we're okay.
14:05 Yes.
14:06 That was not very effective.
14:08 Straight into the boot.
14:17 And that, if you were a gambling man, the smart money would be on smart money right now.
14:22 Absolutely.
14:23 They are firmly on top.
14:25 Fentos makes the tag.
14:26 And again, taking advantage, the referee, young, innocent, just slightly naive here.
14:35 Smart money taking advantage, you might not like the tactics, but...
14:39 They get results.
14:40 Yeah, smart money are the bookies' favorites.
14:42 And they have successfully continued to isolate Cody and just work that shoulder, lower back area.
14:51 If Cody doesn't get to the corner soon and take Danny Dearest in, this could be over.
14:58 So, Prince Dean taking the role of a protective parent.
15:00 He wants desperately to come in and fix this for Cody, but...
15:04 Cody is being very handily isolated by smart money over in the corner there.
15:09 Oh, fighting back with some forearms.
15:12 Of course, Fentos is powering him into the corner with that strength.
15:19 That's it.
15:20 Oh, nice there for you.
15:23 Cody dives through and Prince Dean is the legal man.
15:26 And he comes in a house of fire.
15:29 Clotheslines and elbows flying all around.
15:32 High knee.
15:33 Has to be.
15:34 Oh, my goodness.
15:39 Just rocking Dow Jones with a massive insiguri to the...
15:44 There we go, jawbreaker.
15:46 Just knocks Fentos into that corner.
15:49 Oh, it's a more unorthodox offense.
15:54 It's the...
15:55 It's the pass unknown buster.
15:58 There you go.
15:59 That's absolutely right. Easy for you to say, Bob.
16:00 Yes, I'll go there eventually. Come on.
16:02 Yes, well, we get there in the end. That's what matters.
16:04 He's moving too quick. He's making me stutter.
16:06 Fentos runs through into a cover, but only gets the two.
16:10 Oh, and they just clash heads.
16:13 Butt in head.
16:14 Fentos over the top rope to the outside.
16:16 If that happens in a rampage.
16:18 That looked like a bad landing.
16:21 Smart money just...
16:23 Dow Jones is looking to...
16:24 Smart money looking a bit sheepish right now.
16:26 But Prince Dean over the top.
16:27 Oh, Prince Dean asked the Wrestle Gods to be with him as he made that flight.
16:31 And I think they heard his call.
16:33 Prince Dean looking to just empty some...
16:39 Well, non brand specific chocolate.
16:42 Don't want to get dinged.
16:44 Monk balls.
16:47 That'll do.
16:48 Yes.
16:49 I think they're generic enough. I think they're okay.
16:51 Prince Dean looking for the cover.
16:55 Dow Jones is not currently the legal man, but there he is.
16:57 There you go.
16:58 Fentos.
16:59 Prince Dean moving too fast for his own good there.
17:02 Dow Jones just hoists Prince Dean into the air.
17:05 Oh!
17:09 Once again.
17:12 And a two.
17:13 Oh, Cody breaks up the pin.
17:15 Only just Cody.
17:16 Only just.
17:17 Fentos just looking to remove him from proceedings.
17:21 Smart money with some big moves.
17:24 And Dow Jones makes the tag.
17:26 And it's Dow Jones versus Prince Dean in the middle of the ring.
17:29 Two man day trip might be father and son, but they haven't wrestled together for so long as Smart Money have.
17:35 That's very true.
17:37 And no amount of...
17:39 That is a long way down.
17:42 Absolutely.
17:43 Calculated.
17:45 We've talked about the height of Fentos, but Dow Jones no such either.
17:50 Prince Dean just came from 10 feet up in the air.
17:54 What?
17:57 That seems uncalled for.
17:58 Yes.
17:59 Fine, I'll just...
18:00 Stops it.
18:01 Fentos sucks.
18:02 There you go.
18:03 Oh, my goodness.
18:04 He told me off for being nice.
18:07 Let's focus on the action in the ring.
18:09 Now we've got Dow Jones and Prince Dean.
18:11 Oh, off with his head.
18:14 That can happen to a prince.
18:18 Exactly.
18:19 Smart Money doing the dirty work, but you don't have to.
18:22 Big power slam from Dow Jones.
18:23 Prince Dean has taken an immense amount of punishment right now.
18:27 Looking to lift up Prince Dean here.
18:32 No.
18:33 Oh, Prince Dean flies through.
18:35 Hits a tag.
18:37 Kick to the gut.
18:39 Was there a tag?
18:40 I don't think there was.
18:42 Oh, innovative double team offense.
18:51 Oh, and Fentos pulls referee Tristan Stone from the ring.
18:55 Very clever.
18:56 Fentos using his brain.
18:58 Typical Fentos.
19:00 Meanwhile in the ring, we have the two-man day trip.
19:03 We have Dow Jones by himself.
19:06 Oh, my goodness.
19:07 Prince Dean just dies through the rope.
19:09 He didn't mean to have a controversy.
19:11 Fentos is down.
19:13 He's not moving.
19:16 The two men versus the one.
19:19 Ref Tristan shook it.
19:22 It's under control.
19:23 Dow Jones is bleeding for his well-being here.
19:25 Who can blame him when you have the two-man day trip in the ring with you?
19:29 Is that two-man day trip legal, Tristan?
19:32 Oh.
19:34 Offer not accepted.
19:35 Dow Jones offering what appeared to be a large amount of cash.
19:40 There we go.
19:41 I think Dow Jones has just taken a day trip.
19:43 And Cody makes the pin on Dow Jones.
19:46 No.
19:48 Here he is.
19:50 The two-man day trip.
19:57 There's no way they've just beaten smart money like that.
20:03 And Prince Dean looking to add insult to injury here.
20:06 But the two-man day trip win the day as Cody pins Dow Jones with a three count.
20:13 Cody's still got the money.
20:24 Dow Jones looking a broken man as the two-man day trip having fun in the ring after their victory.
20:32 Over two of the most decorated wrestlers at UKPW.
20:38 I'm in disbelief.
20:39 I wasn't expecting this much to go this way.
20:46 Thank you.
20:47 Apparently it's my fault.
20:49 What did I do?
20:50 Seriously.
20:51 I don't know.
20:52 I'm just sitting here calling the action.
20:56 And what actually is so far.
20:58 We've still got the Rampage match to come.
21:04 We are in for some incredible matches and we're only part way through the show and still to come.
21:10 Lots more great action.
21:13 We've got one more match and then it's the big one, the main event.
21:17 Well, how about that grapple fans?
21:19 Smart Money doesn't quite have enough to meet the challenge of the two-man day trip.
21:24 Picking up the victory as Cody pins Dow Jones in the middle of the ring.
21:27 Smart Money didn't have enough money for that day trip.
21:30 Very much in Brutal.
21:31 Clark Andrews, how about that for a finish?
21:33 I know right.
21:34 The father and son team of Prince Dean and Cody picking up the victory over Smart Money.
21:39 A double super kick.
21:41 I know.
21:42 Oh my goodness.
21:43 I just can't comprehend what happened there.
21:45 I don't know that we can do this justice Clark Andrews.
21:48 I don't think we can Rob Bringside.
21:49 Are you thinking what I'm thinking?
21:50 I am thinking what you're thinking.
21:51 Tell me your part.
21:52 No, wait.
21:53 Let's go to the event centre.
21:55 Let's do that.
21:56 Wait, why?
22:01 Where?
22:02 Where are we?
22:03 We're in the event centre.
22:06 Oh no, we've been...
22:07 Hang on, how have we been summoned to the event centre?
22:10 I don't quite understand how this has happened.
22:12 How have we been summoned?
22:13 Voodoo Magic.
22:14 Oh, I think you're handy.
22:17 Yes, ha ha.
22:18 Where there's money there is Dow.
22:19 Wait, where there's money there's Dow.
22:22 Why are you here then?
22:24 Handy.
22:25 All of it.
22:28 All of it.
22:30 I'm the money guy.
22:35 You're the smart guy.
22:36 I'm the money guy.
22:37 Why have you got...
22:38 They like me more.
22:40 That might be true, but why are we here?
22:43 Oh, I know why we're here.
22:45 No one else has to do this.
22:47 We're going to have to re-watch our match and analyse it and explain why we lost.
22:52 Okay, right.
22:55 As you can see here, I'm about to be super kicked.
22:58 But where are you, Phantos?
22:59 Where are you?
23:00 So, Dean dove on me on the outside when the referee Tristan Stone distracted me.
23:05 So, yeah, I was out of it.
23:07 I couldn't get to you.
23:08 Apologies.
23:09 So, you're outside.
23:10 I think you're asleep.
23:11 No, I'm pretty sure I'm not asleep.
23:12 I might have brain damage, but I'm not asleep.
23:14 Phantos is asleep.
23:15 He's fallen asleep.
23:16 He's on the outside.
23:17 And then I'm left with Cody and Dean in the ring.
23:20 And then I had no other chance.
23:22 I had to just do a bit of a negotiation because things were looking bad.
23:26 And then we did the deal.
23:28 And then they rescinded the deal.
23:29 And then they kicked me in the face twice.
23:32 Twice!
23:33 And, of course, that was the loss.
23:35 Could you not have, like, moved out of the way?
23:37 Hmm.
23:39 On reflection, that is possible.
23:42 That's why you're the smart one and I'm the money one.
23:44 But, anyway, enough about that.
23:45 Thanks for pointing that out, Phantos.
23:47 That is the point of the event centre.
23:48 But I'm so angry at this now.
23:50 And the fact that we're here doing this right now is embarrassing.
23:53 I'm going to force that we go to an ad break ready for the next part of Ketch Pro Wrestling.
23:57 [MUSIC]
24:06 Welcome back, Grapple fans.
24:08 It is now time for our main event.
24:10 As the suplex merchant, Alf Edwards, takes on the kid without fear, Danny Black.
24:14 Clark Andrews, an aspiring interregional champion, a former interregional champion.
24:19 What a main event we're in for.
24:21 You're absolutely right there, Rock Ringside.
24:23 We have Danny Black, the former champion.
24:26 Alf Edwards, the self-proclaimed number one contender.
24:29 And with the tensions at fever pitch, it's only right that we review the lineage of this interregional belt that both these men want so bad.
24:38 [MUSIC]
24:54 Greetings, Grapple fans, and welcome to a journey through the hallowed halls of UKPW history.
25:00 We're talking about the prestigious UKPW Interregional Championship.
25:06 A title that has been the cornerstone of careers for UKPW legends from money man himself, Dale Jones.
25:13 The fierce, The Nail.
25:15 Super popular Maverick Mayhew.
25:17 And the unforgettable Trashman, Marcus Broome.
25:20 All the way to the mighty Ashmore.
25:23 The mathematical genius, Fentos.
25:26 The brilliant Buff Broadside.
25:28 And the sensational, Smooth, Sammy Smooth.
25:32 Actually, I wonder what happened to him.
25:34 Last we heard of him, he was off being pretty deadly in America.
25:37 Anyway, we digress.
25:39 This interregional championship belt has been the beacon of UKPW Kent Pro Wrestling excellence.
25:47 And who better to embody this than the most recent championship holder, the kid without fear, Danny Black.
25:54 Who turned every match into a masterpiece of wrestling artistry in halls and high streets across the county and the southeast.
26:03 In the quaint, yet electrifying town of Fathersham, Danny Black began his legendary journey.
26:10 Capturing the UKPW Interregional Championship in the groundbreaking Tables, Ladders and Scares match.
26:16 For an entire year, he defended this title with unyielding determination.
26:23 His matches becoming a symphony of high flying maneuvers and heart stopping action.
26:28 That resonated through every corner of the wrestling world.
26:31 But in a world of wrestling, every champion meets a challenger who pushes them to the brink.
26:37 Enter Alf Edwards.
26:40 On a crowded Bexley Heath High Street, amidst the roar of the ecstatic crowd.
26:45 Alf Edwards, the suplex merchant, emerged as a revelation.
26:51 With a style as gritty as the streets of Abbey Wood.
26:54 And a repertoire of suplexes as diverse as London itself.
26:59 Alf Edwards nearly dethroned the reigning champion in a match that turned the UKPW wrestling world on its head.
27:07 Alf Edwards arrival was not just a debut.
27:10 It was a declaration of his arrival on the grand stage of United Kingdom Pro Wrestling.
27:16 Last time they met, it was Danny Black who emerged victorious.
27:20 But it was a win grasped from the jaws of defeat.
27:23 A triumph so narrow it could have swung either way.
27:27 That day, Alf Edwards, a rookie with raw talent, came within a hair's breadth of rewriting UKPW history on the bustling streets of Bexley Heath.
27:37 Today, he returns to the ring not as a novice, but as a seasoned warrior brimming with experience and hungry for redemption.
27:45 Danny Black, once the proud bearer of that UKPW Interregional Championship, now wrestles with a void only a title can fill.
27:55 Both men stand at a crossroads, each with a point to prove, each with a legacy to defend.
28:01 Alf determined to show the world that his near victory was no fluke, that he has evolved into a force to be reckoned with.
28:09 And Danny driving the unyielding pursuit to regain his lost glory, to prove that he is still the champion at heart.
28:17 This is not just a rematch, it's a renewal of a rivalry that has captured the imagination of the UKPW grapple fans everywhere.
28:24 Can the Kid Without Fear outmanoeuvre and outpace his opponent once again?
28:28 Or will the Suplex Merchant turn the tables with his devastating arsenal of suplexes?
28:33 With the number one contender spot for the Interregional Championship at stake in the upcoming Reign and Rampage match,
28:39 both wrestlers are vying for a crucial psychological edge.
28:44 [INTRO]
29:00 The wrestlers you see on UKPW are trained professionals and should not be copied.
29:08 [MUSIC]
29:13 UKPW is very dangerous.
29:16 The show you're watching has been organised with great preparation and should not be attempted by a fool.
29:23 [MUSIC]
29:28 Wrestling may look fun, but the hazards are real.
29:32 [MUSIC]
29:37 No matter who you are, whatever you do, please do not try this at home, school or anywhere.
29:45 There we have it grapple fans, the prize that everyone in that Rampage match wants around their shoulders and/or waist.
29:52 That's absolutely right Rob Ringside, and with that being said, it's now time for your main event.
29:58 The Suplex Merchant, Alf Edwards, the self-proclaimed number one contender for that Interregional Championship.
30:05 In his way, the sharper, the focused, Kid Without Fear, the former champion himself, Danny Black.
30:12 Grapple fans, the waiting is over. It's time to find out who will pick up that last minute momentum going into the Rampage match
30:18 with the winner facing the Interregional Champion. Let's head to Ringside.
30:22 [MUSIC]
30:30 Hailing from South East London, weighing in at 15 stone 5 pounds, he is the Suplex Merchant.
30:44 This is Alf Edwards.
30:50 Welcome back grapple fans, and if you're in the mood to buy some suplexes, boy do we have the contest for you.
30:55 The Suplex Merchant, Alf Edwards, takes on the Kid Without Fear, Danny Black, in what promises to be an incredible contest here at Reign of Rampage.
31:03 Wendy Louise, Buff Broadside, talk us through it.
31:07 Well, I can tell you two things about these guys. Alf Edwards was my last ever singles match in UKBW before I got put on the shelf for a whole year.
31:16 That is up to this point. I have not wrestled a match since facing Alf Edwards.
31:21 And his opponent, Danny Black, is the man that took my Interregional Championship.
31:25 Well, you have history with both these guys.
31:28 I will rave about both of these guys. They are no joke.
31:33 [MUSIC]
31:41 From New Sheppard, London, weighing in at 10 stone 10 pounds, he is known as the Kid Without Fear.
31:51 This is Danny Black.
31:57 And that's it right there. You know everything you need to know about these two competitors stepping in.
32:01 Absolutely. Danny Black, of course, our most recent Interregional Champion before our current champion.
32:07 A fighting champion while he had the belt. And he gave it a good go to try and win it back in Falconwood.
32:13 A match that we were honored enough to call.
32:16 It was a very good match. I don't think Danny Black has had a single match that hasn't been in contest for much of the year yet.
32:25 I think you are right there. I think that this one promises to be just as much potential.
32:29 I think Danny Black being the high flyer and Alfie Edwards being the suplex machine that he is.
32:36 I believe that Danny Black is going to be flying, but not in the way he hopes.
32:42 [MUSIC]
32:51 The crowd, somebody in the crowd gave him some money.
32:56 Something is happening there.
32:59 All right. All bonuses.
33:02 I think it might be somebody's prize money.
33:05 Ah, that makes more sense.
33:08 [MUSIC]
33:14 And we are on the way in this contest.
33:16 Oh, straight in with a straight in strong forearm. No wasting time.
33:21 Absolutely no love lost here either. Alfie Edwards wants to cement his name as the number one contender in the UKPW.
33:30 And what better way to do that than to go straight through Danny Black now.
33:34 Absolutely. You can take out the previous champion. You've got a good chance to say that you should be in the mix.
33:38 I think it's safe to say which one of these two has got the power advantage.
33:42 Yeah, absolutely. But of course we cannot underestimate Danny Black's high flying speed.
33:46 [MUSIC]
33:51 Oh, there we are again. The speed that these two youngsters are moving at.
33:56 Danny Black's experience as well.
33:59 And there's suplex number one of the night.
34:02 He should be able to sport every single move Alfie Edwards is going to come up with with his experience here.
34:07 Absolutely.
34:09 And they're just brawling in front of our commentary table right here.
34:13 Oh.
34:16 Oh. And a big chop right in the bleachers.
34:21 Oh. Danny Black is one of his own.
34:26 Referee Tristan Stone trying to get the contest back into the ring.
34:32 My God. Do you want a jacket potato with those chops?
34:35 Oh. Danny Black's head is the hardest part of the ring.
34:38 As does his back.
34:40 Of course keeping in mind both these men are scheduled to be in the Reign of Rampage later on.
34:47 Though previous matches have had stipulations that determine entrant, this one is just going to be about preserving your stamina.
34:54 This is about dislike. These two men dislike each other.
35:01 That is a safe description.
35:04 I think it's fair to say.
35:07 Oh. And that's the best way to express it I've seen.
35:12 Yeah. If you don't like somebody, take their head off.
35:14 Sure.
35:15 Two count for Alf Edwards. Danny Black there.
35:17 I mean that was hit so hard that could be a tumble dryer.
35:23 Well, quicker than a clothesline, right?
35:26 Yeah. That's very true.
35:29 That's good. I like that. Thank you.
35:35 Alf Edwards isn't giving Danny Black a single second to make any momentum.
35:39 And he's wise not to do that. Danny Black will punish you for those sort of things.
35:44 Give Danny Black space. That gives him room to get air between you and him.
35:49 Alf Edwards just taking a moment to catch his breath and play to the crowds.
35:53 I don't blame him on catching his breath. They can come out.
35:55 [MUSIC]
36:05 Absolutely lots of high velocity, high course impact already.
36:11 I'm out of breath.
36:14 Well, just seeing Alf Edwards throw Danny Black out of the ring like that makes me wonder how many people he's going to throw at in the Rampage match.
36:21 Well, again, suplex and over the top rope. That's exactly what it takes, right?
36:25 Absolutely. Danny Black answers the referee's call.
36:28 I don't... Oh!
36:30 I honestly believe that there's not a man in this Rampage box that can not suplex.
36:37 We're up to three suplexes so far.
36:39 I was keeping count. I was going to try and keep it up to five.
36:42 We're all right. We're up to three.
36:44 Just inhabited the counter by our ringside colleague Dave O'Connor.
36:47 The OG!
36:48 We're up to three.
36:50 The thing is...
36:51 Is it only three?
36:52 Alf Edwards being the suplex merchant is not always about quantity. It's about quality.
36:57 Danny Black choosing to send Alf Edwards to the outside and then joins him.
37:03 That's where Danny Black likes to be. Flying through the air.
37:08 Absolutely.
37:09 The one thing that we saw there, we saw Alf Edwards go over the top. If he does that later on...
37:13 That's true. He will lose that match.
37:16 Danny hitting the top rope.
37:18 It is out of fear.
37:19 Rolls.
37:20 Oh!
37:22 Almost suplexes Danny.
37:24 And a two count from Alf Edwards.
37:28 A spinning clothesline.
37:29 Absolutely.
37:30 Worthy gig.
37:31 Here we go.
37:36 See I can play too. This is fun.
37:38 Power.
37:39 From the floor. Number four.
37:42 And into my count. This is going to end up like bingo.
37:44 And a two count.
37:47 Alf Edwards must be thinking, what do I have to do here to keep him down?
37:51 Because Danny Black will not go down without a fight as we've seen over numerous high quality matches.
37:55 Well we've seen Alf Edwards can put that suplex from anywhere on pretty much anyone right now.
38:01 What is Danny Black going to have to do to beat him?
38:05 Alfred Christensen looking to reassert.
38:13 Alf Edwards starting to slow down there. Here we go again.
38:17 He's downing another one.
38:19 Downing back on his feet.
38:25 A stiff kick to the chest and a double.
38:27 And that's the athleticism.
38:30 And that speed as well of Danny Black.
38:34 We see him in the Moulin Rouge doing a ken ken with that kind of kicking.
38:37 Absolutely.
38:38 Even the rhythm and everything.
38:40 Oh, that one fell slightly out of center. We'll go with it.
38:43 Right in the jaw.
38:46 I think I might have seen Edwards eyes rolling to the back of his head with that.
38:51 Trying to shake off the cobwebs.
38:54 An uppercut into the corner.
38:57 It looks to be hitting something similar.
38:59 Alf Edwards equal to it with a kick to the head.
39:02 This is it.
39:03 This is it. Danny Black's speed coming in now.
39:07 Don't pander too much.
39:10 One jump from the ground to the top rope.
39:14 We got a full moon tonight.
39:19 Springboard.
39:23 DDT.
39:25 Huge DDT.
39:26 Beautiful.
39:28 That had a two count.
39:32 Unbelievable fortitude from Edwards to kick out of that.
39:38 Springboard DDT.
39:40 Well that DDT was so hard it gave him a sound feedback.
39:43 Oh, boof.
39:44 Apologies if you heard that.
39:47 Lining him up.
39:49 Alf Edwards powering out of it.
39:52 Oh, number five.
39:55 I feel like that counts.
39:57 And a two.
39:59 Alf Edwards making up Danny Black as well as a feather.
40:02 Alf Edwards so versatile with twoplexes.
40:05 He doesn't even need to go with Danny Black for part of it.
40:07 We're going again.
40:09 Oh, let's go Danny Black.
40:12 He tries his best to hit a suplex of his own.
40:15 Fighting out of Alf Edwards attempts.
40:17 Oh, powerbomb.
40:23 Beautiful power slam from Alf Edwards.
40:28 This is the thing.
40:29 Alf Edwards is known as a suplex merchant but he can hurt you in so many different ways.
40:36 It's not.
40:38 Unbelievable.
40:39 It's not enough to put Danny Black down.
40:41 A pop-up powerbomb followed by a snap power slam.
40:46 Absolutely.
40:47 And Danny Black is still breathing.
40:49 Alf Edwards has had enough.
40:50 Don't strap him down.
40:51 He means business now.
40:53 Absolutely.
40:54 Lifting Danny Black onto the shoulders.
40:56 Danny Black fighting out where he wants to be.
41:03 He looks to hit that cut-out.
41:04 Alf Edwards just blocks it.
41:06 Really impressive from Danny Black.
41:09 Just lands on his feet and hits a huge isogury.
41:11 He's looking to hit from the second rope.
41:15 That cut-out.
41:16 Small ball cutter from the middle.
41:19 Alf Edwards just, wow.
41:22 So hard to pop straight back up.
41:25 Danny Black's ready to beat him.
41:27 Danny Black lining him up.
41:29 Can he get him over?
41:30 Oh, he can.
41:31 That could be all she wrote.
41:34 That's got to be it.
41:36 And Alf Edwards kicks out at two.
41:39 Danny Black showing that he knows the suplex or two as well.
41:43 He does.
41:44 Maybe I said that to the count.
41:46 I didn't say it would just be Alf.
41:48 In that case, we're at number six.
41:51 I'll put another count.
41:52 Danny Black looking to finish this contest.
41:55 Springboards off the ropes.
41:57 Oh, he lands on Alf Edwards' shoulders.
42:01 Oh.
42:03 Danny Black turned inside out.
42:05 I'll tell you what they call that move.
42:07 Game over.
42:08 That is all they wrote.
42:10 [MUSIC PLAYING]
42:13 And there you have it, grapple fans.
42:25 This is your winner, Alf Edwards.
42:30 That was a match about pride and glory.
42:33 And Alfie Edwards walks away with it.
42:35 He absolutely does.
42:36 And this contest is over, folks.
42:39 Hugely impressive from both men.
42:41 But Alf Edwards wins today.
42:43 By watching this now, these guys might not like each other.
42:46 But they probably respect--
42:47 [MUSIC PLAYING]
42:50 Danny Black's not using the plates, is he?
42:53 [MUSIC PLAYING]
42:56 [CHEERING]
43:00 Shut up and listen to Alf Edwards.
43:02 [CHEERING]
43:05 I think the crowd are letting him know what they think.
43:07 This round is a horrible, disgusting, filthy crowd.
43:11 [INAUDIBLE]
43:14 [INAUDIBLE]
43:16 [INAUDIBLE]
43:18 [CHEERING]
43:20 [INAUDIBLE]
43:23 [INAUDIBLE]
43:26 [INAUDIBLE]
43:28 [INAUDIBLE]
43:31 [INAUDIBLE]
43:33 [INAUDIBLE]
43:36 [INAUDIBLE]
43:39 [CHEERING]
43:43 I'm going to win.

43:50 [INAUDIBLE]
43:52 [INAUDIBLE]
43:54 [CHEERING]
43:56 [INAUDIBLE]
43:58 [INAUDIBLE]
44:01 [INAUDIBLE]
44:03 [CHEERING]
44:05 I strongly believe Alf Edwards' words there.
44:07 He's not said anything he hasn't followed through with yet.
44:10 Alf Edwards certainly believes those words, too.
44:12 That much is obvious.
44:13 [CHEERING]
44:15 The crowd not keen on the idea, but--
44:17 Well, no, Sapphire is a strong fan favorite.
44:21 [INAUDIBLE]
44:24 So we're going to knock off Alf Edwards.
44:26 Absolutely.
44:27 What a performance against Danny Black right there.
44:29 And the words are, he believes.
44:32 He believes.
44:33 And that is one of the toughest things in this business.
44:35 If you believe you can do it, anything is possible.
44:38 I believe Alf Edwards can do it.
44:40 I believe Alf Edwards believes it.
44:41 What remains to be seen is, can he follow through
44:44 after a hard-fought match with Danny Black, where
44:46 he did come out on top, but it can't have taken nothing from him.
44:50 But there you go.
44:51 Alf Edwards is officially entered in the Reign of Rampage match.
44:55 Well, there you have it, grapple fans.
44:57 The suplex merchant, Alf Edwards, picks up a decisive victory
45:01 over the kid without fear, Danny Black,
45:03 a former interregional champion.
45:05 He's stocking traded suplexes, but he wins with that exit light.
45:09 He has built an incredible momentum off the back of that victory.
45:12 But will it be enough, taking him into the Rampage match?
45:15 I'm confused.
45:18 I can't believe this.
45:26 I can't believe this.
45:28 So it appears, with Alf Edwards winning the main event,
45:33 he has declared that we end this show with a champion's tribute to him.
45:37 What?
45:38 I can't believe it.
45:40 I mean, he hasn't even won the belt.
45:44 Fine. Fine.
45:47 Well, grapple fans of all ages, tune in next time for that all-important Rampage match.
45:53 20 competitors facing off in an over-the-top rope gauntlet,
45:57 with the winner earning the right to challenge the interregional champion.
46:01 Until then, we shall leave you with a management-imposed tribute
46:06 to one of the favourites to win the Rampage match,
46:09 Alf Edwards.
