00:03 LA on the road tonight, second leg of a back to back.
00:06 The Clippers will head to the grind city against the Memphis Grizzlies.
00:10 Nine and a half point spread in favor of Los Angeles, total at 222 and a half.
00:16 What do the Clippers do in this back to back spot?
00:19 >> This is an interesting one here too, because again,
00:21 we are under the guise of we expect a full go starting lineup.
00:25 Anticipated out there Harden, Mann, George, Leonard, and Zubach here,
00:28 which is a much better starting lineup than anything that Memphis can run out
00:32 there, but Memphis not playing on a back to back and at home here.
00:35 But also, we're trying to take a look and
00:37 gauge what the Clippers are going to do as you just stated.
00:39 In the top four in the West with a couple games out of first place,
00:43 you can't drop a game to OKC yesterday.
00:45 And then also drop a game to the Memphis Grizzlies, which will be disaster for
00:49 them if they wanted to have those title aspirations of
00:52 being the number one overall seed and having home court advantage.
00:55 I'm gonna trust that we're gonna get a full starting lineup out of the Clippers,
00:58 and that should be enough for
00:59 a double digit victory going up against the Memphis Grizzlies tonight here for me, Ben.
01:02 >> Yeah, so when you look at Memphis, right?
01:06 The last game or one of the last games before the All-Star break a Thursday night
01:10 ago was against Milwaukee, the Grizzlies won outright against the Bucks as a 14
01:15 point home underdog, this season has been disastrous for Memphis.
01:20 John Morant was suspended for the first 25 games, there was some hope that when he
01:24 came back, Memphis would be in the thick of it, they were not.
01:28 A very disappointing start to this season, John Morant gets injured,
01:31 shoulder surgery out for the remainder of this season.
01:35 We got that news on January 8th, in that time Desmond Bain,
01:39 Marcus Smart have also been on the sidelines.
01:42 20 games since we got the news that John Morant was going to miss the remainder
01:46 of this season, Memphis has been booked as an underdog in 19 of those 20.
01:51 They've covered in 12 of the 19, including three straight entering the All-Star break.
01:56 I would agree, the Clippers win this game outright, and
01:59 the Clippers could win it by double digits.
02:02 But Memphis deserves some credit for staying competitive this year,
02:05 despite everything working the wrong way against them.
02:09 The Clippers, of course, in the calendar year 2024 entering last night,
02:15 17 and 5, 14, 7, and 1 against the spread.
02:21 Now make that 17 and 6, and LA did not cover as a very short underdog on the road.
02:27 But they have been very good, both straight up and against the number here in
02:32 2024 as things are trending in a very positive way.
