Après la prise de pouvoir du Danois la veille dans des conditions dantesques, les coureurs affrontaient ce samedi une 3e étape d'O Gran Camino un peu moins difficile mais malgré tout vallonnée, avec une météo légèrement plus clémente tout au long des 173.1 km qui reliaient Xinzo de Limia et Castelo de Ribadavia. En plaçant une grosse accélération dans la dernière difficulté du jour, l'Alto De Couso, Vingegaard est parti seul à la poursuite des derniers rescapés de l'échappée matinale, qu'il a repris un à un avant de couvrir les 20 kilomètres restant au sommet en solitaire. Résistant sans soucis à un peloton amaigri et impuissant, le leader de la Team Visma | Lease a Bike a pu de nouveau lever les bras et semble bien parti pour faire une nouvelle razzia, comme l'an passé !
