Gordon, an incurable romantic, faces a setback in his proposal arrangements when his girlfriend accepts a job offer from her ex and moves to Canada. In a bid to nurture their love, he departs from Brooklyn, N.Y., to her hometown, only to realize he's in unfamiliar territory while attempting to win over her difficult-to-impress, French-speaking family.
