Making a splash: New Zealand holds inaugural divebomb championships

A beloved New Zealand summer pastime, to dive into water and generate the biggest splash possible, has taken on a competitive flavour at the inaugural "Manu" championships in Auckland. Even All Blacks legend Sean Fitzpatrick turns up to give it a go.

00:35 To do the Manu, you've got to get your leg tucked right, you've got to get your backside into the water.
00:40 As soon as you get your backside into the water, immediately try and straighten your body to get the right pop, I've been told, is the way to do it.
