00:00 - I do have to ask, 'cause I don't know anything about,
00:04 like, obviously we need to keep your character surprised
00:06 for the audience, for me, for everybody.
00:09 So since I don't know anything,
00:11 did you happen to share the screen with Jake at all?
00:15 Like, did you share any scenes with him?
00:17 And if so, what was it like working with him?
00:20 - Majority.
00:20 Again, I don't wanna give away too much, but yes.
00:25 You know, again, you're on set with three and a half
00:29 to four months with these guys, you know?
00:32 So yeah, my character, you know, I am in the roadhouse,
00:36 you know, so there is a lot of amazing moments
00:41 with all of us, with Jake as well.
00:44 But to answer your question in terms of, like,
00:45 what it's like working with him, dude, I mean,
00:48 like, you can tell why he's been doing this caliber
00:53 of work over the years.
00:56 I mean, look at the preparation in his physical body, right?
01:01 For how he prepared for this film.
01:03 So I always tell people, I'm like, okay,
01:06 I feel like the way you treat yourself is a reflection
01:09 of how you treat everything else, right?
01:11 So if you see how people like Matthew McConaughey
01:14 or Jake Gyllenhaal, or if we go to, what, Christian Bale,
01:18 like, these guys that all just are down
01:20 to transform their bodies are again, you know,
01:23 it's like, it's a sense of method acting
01:25 in terms of transforming your body
01:26 to actually become this person.
01:29 It's just cool to see that energy.
01:31 It's cool to experience that, 'cause you're like,
01:33 what happens is you see a level of dedication and focus,
01:36 you're like, they're not here by accident.
01:39 No matter how you try to frame it or put it,
01:42 you can see the work.
01:43 And to me, that was dope to experience.
01:45 You know, I've seen it with Connor,
01:46 I've seen it with, same thing with Jessica Williams,
01:49 Billy Madison, like, everybody who's there on the set,
01:52 like, you can tell that, like,
01:55 they've been working over the years
01:56 because when it was lights, cameras, action,
01:59 everybody's working and they're bringing shit to the party.
02:01 They're bringing things to the table.
02:02 So to me, it was just fun.
02:04 Again, I don't know how else to frame it,
02:06 but it was just dope to be on that experience
02:09 because if you look at my body of work,
02:11 I worked with A-listers, Johnny Depp, VF Schreiber,
02:14 John Boyd, Eddie Marston, so it's like-
02:16 - I noticed, yeah, yeah.
02:18 - It's not, there's no star struck.
02:20 There's no, it's just more being like,
02:23 again, it's that Kobe, Michael Jordan mentality.
02:26 Like, Kobe looked up to Michael,
02:28 but he still wanted to be great.
02:29 He was still, but he's still learning from him.
02:30 So I have that same vibe.
02:31 So every time I'm around these guys,
02:33 I'm just watching, I'm learning, I'm listening.
02:35 We're talking, we're power talking.
02:36 Like, however I can be a sponge and absorb the information
02:40 and become better than Bette, I learn.
