00:05 Meat Importers and Traders Association, or MITA,

00:08 has announced a high price for pork due to the limitation imposed by the Department of Agriculture on importation.

00:15 The minimum access volume or the amount of pork raised by meat traders was increased to 40%,

00:21 while the processors were increased to 60%.

00:23 But the group of Samahang Industria na Agricultura, or SINAG, said

00:27 there is no reason for the price of pork to increase.

00:30 The pork imported is still too much.

00:33 On the other hand, the pork prices are not decreasing.

00:36 In the monitoring of the DA, the kilo of pork is now P370,

00:41 while the pork belly is P400.

00:43 SINAG said that the price of pork should not exceed P350.
